Nice review and very nice photos!:) Right now I'm running the screen on my 5s naked as I like to switch cases and my .40mm glass screen will not work with some of them. I really like the looks of the one you reviewed. Just wondered, if you ever needed to, what would it be like to try to remove that one as thin as it is?

Let me preface this review by saying that Benks provided me with this sample.

Having said that, I will give my honest review of the Benks Invisible 0.15 mm glass screen protector.

Once again, packaging is well done and contains everything you need to install the protector. Install is straightforward and simple. I used the hinge method to install, which worked out well.

Image

The installation was bubble and dust free. There's an antistatic blue tape included that I highly recommend using. I stuck it on the screen a few times and it seemed to repel any dust. I always seem to pick up some dust, so the blue tape helped nicely with the dust free install.

This protector covers the screen and bezel only. It does leave an unprotected edge around the perimeter of the protector, but any case with decent raised lip protection should protect the exposed area against drops. If you like minimalist cases, without a lip, the Unique Pro (reviewed here) might be a better fit for you.

The Benks Invisible glass protector is a whisper thin 0.15 mm. It's so thin, you can flex the glass protector in your hand. I tried taking pictures that show just how thin.

It's noticeably thinner than the Unique Pro. I've had thicker protectors that were very noticeable around the home button. The Invisible's extreme thin profile is so thin, you barely feel it around the home button.

I'm extremely impressed how incredibly thin it is!

ImageImageImage

The glass feels very smooth when swiping and is crystal clear, preserving the beauty of your retina screen. Touch screen response works perfectly and it doesn't interfere with the front facing camera, ambient light sensor or proximity sensor.

It appears to repel fingerprints and smudges well. I haven't noticed any rainbow effect. The glass has polished curved edges, which are very smooth to the touch.

I thought the Benks edge-to-edge product was well done, but I realized it wouldn't work for folks who enjoy swapping cases and using cases that won't function with an edge-to-edge protector. I enjoy swapping cases myself.

The Benks Invisible 0.15 mm screen protector worked perfectly with my CandyShell Grip, which has an aggressive lip and very tight fit. I'm confident it will work with all other cases as well. Because it's so thin, it should preserve the lay on table design of most cases.

I would give the Benks Invisible 0.15 mm glass screen protector an excellent rating.

I can highly recommend it because of its ease of install, its incredibly thin form factor and case friendly design. I've finally found a combination of protector and case I really enjoy!

Pros

Incredibly thin - 0.15 mm
No noticeable bulk added
Smooth curved edges
Case friendly

Cons

Doesn't cover to edges

Awesome review, quick side note. How do you like the Speck Candy Shell grip? I was thinking of picking it up.

I removed the 0.20 mm and that was easy to remove. I never felt like it was going to break. It left no adhesive as well.

The 0.15 mm is very flexible. Before I installed it, I gave it a good flex and no issue. There's tape included to help lift it up as well.

I really like it. It has a super grip. The buttons are incredibly responsive. It fits real well and has a nice protective lip.

A couple of things to consider.

Get yourself a lighter color. They will scratch on the CandyShell back. Probably not as bad as the regular CS, because of the grip material. It doesn't bother me, but just so you know. I have the white/black and it hides scratches pretty well.

It's not the easiest case to install and remove. It's very tight. I'm use to it and not worried about hurting the phone. This part might make some folks freak. :)

Great review, you pics are very well done, and it looks like it is a very nice product.

I also tried the .20 for my Gold iPhone 6plus. Loved the protector, but could not use my favorite case the Speck Candyshell Grip. For that fact only I went back to my trusted Zagg Glass.

This .15 might be the perfect solution. I will have to give it a try.

We seem to like the same cases. Candy shell Grip, Magpul, and ZooGue Social.

Thanks! :)

As you know, the CandyShell Grip didn't even come close to working with the 0.20 mm edge to edge.

There's a significant difference in thickness between this 0.15 mm protector and the 0.33 mm+ protectors. It's now been installed for just over a week and I'm still really impressed with this protector. Love the combo.

We do have the same cases! :D

I have the white 6 as well so I'd probably get the same color case as you haha

I think the white/black looks great with the white phone.

There's a river blue/tahoe blue that looks really sweet. I have that one, but haven't used it as of yet. It's a lighter color, so it should hide scratches as well.

Take a look at this video review to see the blue: http://youtu.be/5WAOTm74bmk

My local Sam's club had the 6 Plus in this green color the other day. Plus they are $24.88 at Sam's.

This color is not on the Speck Website for the 6 plus. The Galaxy S6 is pictured.

For some reason, Sam's has a couple of exclusive colors that Speck doesn't advertise.

Just a small update. I'm still rocking this case friendly screen protector and all is going great.

No scratches, crystal clear, easy to clean and super thin profile. I couldn't be more pleased! #

I ordered this. I am just frustrated with an edge to edge non solution. I figured if I am going to compromise, I might as well get the thinnest out there...

Nice! #

Definitely use the blue antistatic tape right before you lay the glass. I had a dust free install and that tape was the reason for it. Post some pics after install.

I agree with the others - great review! This seems very similar to the Mime feather glass protector although the cutouts are a little different. I checked out the protector on Amazon for the Benks and the top cutout looks different from yours. Amazon shows just a small indent at the top and yours shows more of a rectangle shaped cutout. So yours must be the actual one, correct? And not the design shown on Amazon. For me, the cutouts on these make a difference to me. The Mime has a very small cutout at the top and the bottom cutout is curved around all but the bottom part of the home button. I really like the Mime but I've had my first one chip at the top - think I hit it with an airplane metal seat buckle but not totally sure. I've also read reviews from others that they've had the Mine chip at the edge. I have a new Mime on with a perfect install and I really like it but won't like it so much if this one also chips. The Benks is another option for me as I really prefer the super thin protectors. I'd rather have the super thin case friendly glass screen protector than the thicker full screen protectors -just my personal preference.

This is the correct protector. I'm not sure why the Benks photo shows differently? This one hasn't chipped or cracked yet. Not saying it couldn't, but it seems robust growth enough. I agree with you, in regards to thicker protectors.

No worries. :)

I reviewed that one as well. It didn't work with 2 of 3 of my cases. It worked fine with my Magpul case. I think all the edge to edge protectors extend to the phone's perimeter at slighty different lengths.

I reviewed this one because, lots of folks like swapping cases and this protector will have no issues with cases.

How far to the edge does the Benks extend? Is it all the way to the aluminum or does it stop just short?

It doesn't make the aluminum and doesn't curve down. I have few pics in my review thread. With a case, that works, it looks great.

Check it out with the Magpul installed:

I went with the case friendly Benks 0.15 mm, because it works with my preferred case and I can freely other swap cases.

So, I got home from my trip to find... the 6+ version. Argghhh, stupid mistake on my part. Luckily, my wife will soon be getting her 6+, mine will be a few more days. Oh well

Looking forward to your thoughts and pics!

Got it installed today. It feels very nice, and is barely noticeable. The antistatic tape was nice too. Basically, I am happy that I have anti scratch protection and can Barry feel the protector. That is basically what I have decided I have wanted. I am happy . I'll try to upload pics later.

Awesome! Congrats on the install. That blue tape works wonders!

I still love it and the feel of the glass is so nice.

Still haven't had a chance to take pics yet (internet issues the last few days), but just wanted to post an update. The SP is still perfect, no issues with the lack of side coverage, and I love how thin it is. I actually still have a lip from my Spigen Capsule that comes over the top of this SP, and that thing is pretty thin.

Still a great buy.

Great update! Not losing the lip coverage on your case is a definite plus!

Alright, I'm on the Benks bandwagon! I've always used plastic SP in the past. Primarily because I like the thinness of them. I have found tempered glass to be a little thicker than I like. I don't care for a recessed home button or feeling the edge around the screen either. I was intrigued by the slimness of this one and bit the bullet and ordered it. I'm quite impressed so far. Feels really nice and smooth. Seems to have curved edges which feels excellent and eliminates feeling the lip of the SP. It actually feels like there is nothing on the phone at all. And yes, it is surprisingly very slim. This is easily the best SP I've ever tried and I've had every iPhone to date and tried countless SP over the years. Yay, I'm happy about this!!!!! Glad this review came up, thx............

You're welcome and welcome to the bandwagon! :D##

I love this SP for the very reasons you mentioned. I especially like how thin it is and the smooth curved edges you mentioned. Plus it's a very smooth glass and easy to clean.

Unlike the SPs that are 0.33 mm and thicker, you're not pushing down into the home button. This is a great SP. Paired with a case that has a nice lip protection and you have a great combo!
