Wonder if it going down in price is signaling a newer batch coming soon with less defects?
Well I have received confirmation a replacement has been sent and should arrive within a week. I'll report back if the replacement directly from Logitech has fixed the issues... or if the issues remain.
Received the replacement today. Actually typing on it now. The magnets align better when the iPad is inserted into the case for typing purposes. Also, when the iPad is inserted, the keyboard does not come apart from the case at all. The only thing left that bugs me and it looks as though this is just the way Logitech designed this model, is there is no magnet to hold keep the case shut when it's closed. The case can flap open, turning your iPad on and off.
Other than that, for my purposes, I like this keyboard case quite a bit. Makes it easy to type on the iPad and it's not a hassle when I want to use the iPad all by itself.
Here's my update. I went to get one on the weekend. Serial number is the same. Overall, I'm quite pleased. Certainly, I'm not upset enough to return it. The magnets on the hinge are super strong... much more than the old one, and the ones in the stand are adequate. Only thing I've noticed that's irksome is the apostrophe and question mark keys are smaller than the previous, so I'm mistyping at the moment. I expect I'll get used to it fairly quickly though. Nice keyboard, and very happy that Logitech makes it.
