I love mine, I use it with a SwitchEasy Rebel installed on my 3G. It fits just right, a little tight at first but now after about 2 weeks it goes it/out nice and smooth.

My Impressions/thouhgts

I am on the "case search" now and a guy at work that is issued the iPhone 3G let me "borrow" this case. He said he used it since July till about a few weeks ago (he bought a Sena Dockable from the Apple Store yet when I went there they said they no longer carry it!?)

I need to have my iPhone on my belt (not in pocket for me). I am use to carrying a Blackberry on my belt in a straight up holster exposed. I do not own this Blackberry. I don't care about it :p but after a years use the thing is dinged, scratched all over (including the screen), and chipped. I've knocked into things, its been pulled off the holster by accident and fallen to the ground, you name it... so I know what to expect.

Having the iPhone worn vertical (up/down) is not possible for me. I just can't do it. It needs to be horizontal carry. The Blackberry is different in shape and felt fine being carried vertical, its shorter. But the iPhone is longer and gets in the way when sitting, etc...

I was told at the Apple store that no case should use magnets for the iPhone, probably wrong info. So instead of magnets its velcro or an actual button. They said there "could" be an issue using magnets so close to the device.

Anyway I've tried this holster for 2 days. I would rather just go naked but I hate the feeling of it in my pocket... The only thing that concerns me is the velcro. Its not strong. This has been opened and closed a million times since July and its starting to show some weakness. Nothing major but it just doesn't seem as tight as it should be. I feel the belt clip is decent. it stays on my belt but you could easily just take it off. a tad too easy. hence a dropping on the concrete could be possible. my coworker said this holster has been pulled off his belt and fallen to the ground 2 times. He saw no cosmetic blemishes but worried the iPhone internals could have been damaged. So even with that exposed area it seems to still be protected.

My coworker said you need to practice unholstering and reholstering the iPhone in this thing. unholstering is tricky. He said you gotta be careful because he has dropped his iPhone on the ground 3 times (no serious damage YIKES) taking the iPhone out of this thing fast. Reholstering is easy he said. Make sure the face of the iPhone is facing you, rock the mic/speaker in first and slide it in and close. But I can see what he means about unholstering the iPhone. If you are not careful you will drop the phone!!!!

I'm not sure about it I guess. I like the concept and idea but the design might be slightly flawed. 1- Velcro 2- the way you have to unholster the phone is sorta dangerous (high risk of dropping your beloved iPhone!).

I'm currently looking at that Sena dockable but again it just looks so bulky and i kinda like the naked way of using the iPhone vs having all this protection on it. Someone said I'd like the Elega more. I can carry it horizontal but a few people said its almost impossible to unholster it fast.
