Bugger. Bought my iPad in Jan this year but it's the older model. Slightly let down. What makes someone else's £550 better than my £550?
I'll have a complain in the Apple Store tomorrow.

So the thing i don't understand is they figured out how to make the a5 process on a smaller chip? Can they do this same process with the a5x? Why didn't they do this for the new iPad? Don't know much about how to make chips or sizes of them to know anything on this subject but would it be possible for them to use the a5x in the new iPhone? If it was made on a smaller chip of cause(as of now its way too big to put into an iPhone and power hungry).
I've heard lots of different methods, but the only one to work for me was to buy Geekbench. Run a benchmark and it'll tell you at the end.

will try thanks!
Enjoy your new iPad 3.So people are not all over the $399 iPad2? Kind of surprising.
For a forum called "Mac" rumours there doesn't seem to be that many Mac rumours...

So an Apple A5X-R2 32nm would be 57% the die size and 15-30% more battery life. About a $15 part cost savings per unit.
Given a $499 price and 50% gross margin that's 15/250= 6% cost reduction. While improving battery usage and heat expression. That's cool.
You have to run Geekbench to see if your iPad 2 wifi only is a 2,4.

While phones are awesome...I miss those days. It's almost disappointing to know Intel's roadmap now.
