wow. i just ordered on the 16th. would be so incredible if it showed up before xmas. no updates today yet. still processing. you ordered the regular stainless? i got regular stainless 42mm with white strap. been wondering if i should have gotten space black for better scratch resistance.
Yeah, silver with white sports band. Considered black as well, but I think silver looks better with more bands. Plus you can polish it to get rid off scratches. Good luck with the shipping gods :)

Ok really sad, but i remember reading on the iPhone 7 forum before launch day that if your package is coming from China and you have the UPS tracking number you can work out and track what plane it is on. Does anyone have a link to this? I've searched the forums, but obviously searching the wrong words :)

It is worse in Singapore, at least for series 2. Series 1 seems to have better availability. Color selection of bands, especially for 42mm ones, are bad as well. It's as if Apple thinks only 38mm watch owners would want variety of bands.

I do recognize the challenge in sorting out supply chain in multiple worldwide markets, many which are major markets (China, Japan, US, Western Europe, etc).

I was at my local Apple store a little while ago and they had 42MM Nike in stock.. Said they just got them in and only had 2 left..

Looking at iStock, it appears as though a lot of stores on the the west coast got the Nike 42MM in today...

Also, the Nike Apple Watch also probably appeals to a certain demographic. It appears the Nike Apple Watch seems to be more in stock then the Series 1 or Series 2. At Least in my area.

The 42mm SS s2 I bought Friday the 16th online throughout apple and had a 12/30 - 1/3 window just changed to preparing for shipment. Not sure how long they usually stay in that stage, but I think that all orders placed recently are also automatically shipped overnight. So it could be very soon.
[doublepost=1482358872][/doublepost]Wonder if they're trying really hard to get stuff out for xmas

My nearest Apple Store has been sold out for a while now. My birthday was Dec 8th and I was hoping I could get one for my bday present but they were all out of stock until Dec 25th. But then that changed and now they're out of stock until Jan 13th. When I was in the Apple Store this last Monday, no one was even looking at the Apple Watches. Maybe that was because they were all locked under glass and you can't touch or play with them.

My 38mm SSSB has now moved to preparing for shipment but still with a 30th Dec delivery date.
Edit: My watch just despatched but I'm looking at 28th delivery.
I thought all items would have delivery upgraded for next day before Christmas?

my order from last friday (16th) was just shipped and should be here tomorrow (42mm regular stainless). delivery date on apple page said 28th I think but when i went to UPS site it said 23rd.

well, now UPS says rescheduled delivery. so who knows what's going to happen.

SS AW2 42mm. Ordered 14th Dec, stating 4th Jan, just gone to 'preparing for dispatch'.

I knew some status would change as I'm in the UK and it was bought under my Apple ID by my daughter who lives in the US and paid for it on her US bank card. She got a call yesterday (19th) checking for fraud and they made her go on again to make the payment. Let's hope it shows up soon in my Apple care agreements (the iPhone 7 showed up 5 days before launch day). Not holding out for Xmas, but hopefully before the new year...but there are so many bank holidays in between :(

Incidentally, what is the average time from 'preparing to despatch' and delivery?

Edit: as if by magic it is now dispatched. In china, should be here by 23rd apparently :) :) :)

Likely due to the heavy traffic for the holidays. Wonder why they would reschedule you.

They very quickly changed it back to delivery by end of today (12/23) yesterday. Then just now I decided to check again - 12/27 delivery. Sheesh. So much for xmas delivery. Then again, until recently I wasn't even sure I'd have it by New Years. Still, I would have rather not gotten my hopes up that it was going to be here today at all.

Just a reminder that some stores you might not expect carry Apple Watches, and might be worth checking. I was in Dick's Sporting Goods last night and as I was walking past the sport watch display, I noticed that they had 42MM Nike+ Apple watches... they had at least a few in the case for sale.

Dick's doesn't show them on their website, but if you are really trying to grab one for Christmas, you might include a stop at your local Dick's store for a quick check.

Ordered the 13th with an initial delivery date of Dec. 30-Jan. 4. First update adjusted delivery date to the 28th...then the 27th...then the 23rd (woo-hoo!)...then apparently bounced around in China...back to the 27th (boo!)...then suddenly showed up in Kentucky last night and was delivered this afternoon. Yes...got lucky.

Wow I never knew these things are sold out. Looked online and not one Apple Store around me had stock the SS brown leather band is sold out. And most have a 7-10 day ship time. What the hell is going on over there!!

It's been that way since primarily the debut. I really think Siri is 1/Series 2 has been fairly popular. The series one price point has really drawn in a large crowd. More so over the Series 2 and the premium stainless model.

Ordered a S2 SS 42mm white sports band on the 16th that showed 10th Jan as the delivery date, and that still hasn't changed :(

Interesting. I did the same (same model and everything, ordered on the same date) and it shipped a few days ago. UPS has waffled between saying it would be delivered on the 23rd or the 27th. Obviously didn't make it on the 23rd. Hoping it shows up Tuesday. It appears to be in Kentucky right now. Just needs to make it to Virginia.

The inventory may be "throttled" to the level of orders. Once online orders saturate the USA store inventory will be in place (end of March).

I ordered my apple watch on the December 16th, received shipping notice on the 21st from a China departure and received the order on the 23rd in Arizona.

Woo Hoo! People will finally be able to buy a Series 2 watch shortly before they announce Series 3.

Finally had the shipping email earlier, was due by the 10th but should be here by the 28/29th, coming directly from China :D
