Despite implementing Apple Wallet car key support, Rivian remains opposed to CarPlay. The electric vehicle maker does offer a built-in Apple Music app with a Connect+ subscription, which costs $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year.
This is clearly intended to say that this feature is a replacement (at some level) for CarPlay. My point was simple, even were it free it would be an inferior experience to using CarPlay to pull my music from my iPhone, and at $15 a month it is a much inferior experience. You can keep trying to justify their anti-user policies, but you are unlikely to convince most CarPlay users.
