Do you take offense to most things people say on the internet?

I'm not sure one wouldn't need to be brain dead not to take offence at most things people say on the internet. On the grounds of good taste if nothing else.

I would say that the speakers for the iPad 3 are far more impressive.

Odd, given that the iPad 3 doesn't even have multiple speakers. Nor are they anywhere close to laptop standard.

hehe.. Take offence? Not at all. From what I could see the thread started going down a path of "monitor speakers", "amps" etc etc.. Maybe I should have clarified that my comparison was with an older 15" MacBook Pro. That said, I still think the sound is good on its own.

"Good" is one way to put it. It certainly isn't the next coming that Apple markets it to be. Nowhere near the capability of the 17" anyway. And even barely on par with the previous 15".

I don't know if my unit may be defective, but I've been noticing a lot of audio clipping when playing songs purchased from iTunes, and the highest volume I play is at 75%. Is this normal, or would you say my unit may have defective speakers?
