Very interesting information. They gave me brand new keyboard protector (Logickeyboard) and still use it when I closed the lid I never thought about it until I noticed something imprint on the retina screen. But it doesn't damage at all. I think I will take it off when I close it. :apple:

Is this just a rumor, or is this actually true?

Keys are very soft and they are slightly pressed when the laptop is closed with the protector on the keyboard - is this REALLY going to damage the screen? Really?

Buy awesome laptop, cover it all in protection accessories so it looks like Acer.

Kind of reminds me of my uncle who never takes out remotes out of plastic bags (they're gonna be eternal, I guess).

Wait, like remote controls i.e. tv?

How does he change the batteries?

it is actually thinner than the one they carry for the non-retina macbook (non-scientific side by side measure of my friend that has the same brand but non-retina) At first I took it off before closing the lid but as time progressed i just left it on. There's rarely any marks from the keyboard aside from lint from carrying it in my book bag. Very pleased with it and much cheaper than the Moshi. I'll probably throw it out and get a new one every 6 months.

Opens the bag, changes batteries and closes the bag with translucent adhesive tape. He's unique. :p

I do this with some remotes. The oil from when I cook leaves film of crap on all my stuff. The plastic is just easier to clean.
