Using this case as i wait for my Macmall order... I have to say it is very much like Incipios NGP For my old ip4. But i like it better!

The rocketfish softshell case seems to be a TPU, but the lay on the table design is not as high off the phone as the NGP which i like much better and it doesn't collect alot fingerprints thanks to ts matte finish. Also I cant seem to find any injection marks and the quality surpasses what i have seen from incipio

I like the case so much i just might stick with it. I'm also using it with a SGP ultra oleophobic hard surface screen shield with no problems love the combo and have to say quite impressed with the rocketfish case!!

I bought the all clear one and the black side/clear one. I think they are pretty good. Currently using the black/clear one because I like the feel of the matte finish, doesnt look dirty at all. Not bad for 20 bucks. Better than the incase slider I returned!

Got my Black RocketFish this past Saturday and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I bought the white one and it was great on the first few days.. But due to the environment I work in, it's gotten dirty and stained already.

I just cleaned my case and sprayed white primer on it. Going to paint it white pearl later when I have time! :)

I have this same case is anyone's power/lock button hard to press with this case, mine sure is

can't decide what case to get... I want to be able to show off the sleek aluminum back........ but the rocketfish case looks not too bad.....

how about the clear one? I'm worried it will look disgusting after while.

how does it fit. really snug? will it stretch?

so far no stretching and it fits perfect, not loose at all!

Got mine and its a great standby case. Looking for the Incipio Freq in mercury but its not yet available. Tomorrow heading to the mall where Apple is and see what the cart vendors and cellular stores have.

Using this case as i wait for my Macmall order..

Ordered from MacMall and might pick up this case as well. Thanks for the review... glad to hear its screen protector friendly and comparable to Incipio in quality.

Have you called MacMall yet for an ETA on shipping?

My neighborhood Best Buy were out of the black cases... fortunately there was a Best Buy Mobile literally down the street that had a bunch of them in stock.

First impressions: VERY MINIMAL. Love how there is almost zero branding except for the RF logo tastefully placed on the bottom right side. Like iB4STiD said... no fingerprints at all and no bubbling with my SGP Ultra Crystal protector. The soft touch material provides nice grip and texture. Construction is almost flawless and could be easily mistaken for an Incipio or Speck product.

Camera cut out is a tad big... would have preferred this to be smaller (a la Incipio/Speck). Its like the case wanted you/others to know that its protecting an iPhone 5 by showing some of the aluminum . Power/Volume buttons are well protected, no operational problems. Generous cutout for the mute/ringer switch. Love how they did the bottom cutout... nice little detail rounding out the headphone jack opening. Glad they paid some attention there.

When held by the corners, the iPhone does move a bit inside the case when shaken so it isn't as snug as I originally had hoped for. A full body skin would probably remedy this (looking to get a Wrapsol dry back skin). UPDATE: Used two business cards to construct an extra layer that lines the whole inside of the case. Solid as a rock now.

Besides that I am very surprised with how well this case looks and feels. This very well could be the "sleeper" iPhone 5 case like how the PixelSkin HD was for the 4/4S when it came out. Super pleased with this case and will be canceling my Incipio feather/NGP order from MacMall :D.

Thank you for the helpful posts and for putting me on this case, forum members!

Its actually a great case, test it out at the store, feels nice and fits like a glove, surprisingly looking up close the quality seems superb

My only complaint is that dust gets stuck under the lip of the case pretty easily. Other than that, it's a great case and will tide me over until I find something I like even more.

I must have gotten a defective case because mine sags noticeably at the bottom of the case right under the home button. And is it just me or does this case cover up some of the holes on the bottom for the speaker and the mic?

after reading this thread kinda gave in today and went to best buy and picked one up myself ,really happy with this purchase so far ....pics below!

On my RF... the lip is pretty stiff... the speaker cutouts do not obstruct any of the speaker holes.

I definitely had a defective one. I just went to Best Buy to exchange my case for another one (I was planning on getting the same color, which was clear/frosted on the back and black around the bezel) but I decided to go with the plain black instead. This one fits MUCH better and none of the holes on the bottom are covered up at all. There's still the tiniest bit of sagging under the home button but that's to be expected on a soft case like this, especially since there's just a thin strip of material there.

I can't say that this will be my only case (I'm waiting to see if Magpul comes out with a case for the iphone 5) but I'm pretty happy with this as a starter case. I definitely don't want to carry my phone naked and this offers some protection without adding much bulk at all. Pretty quality stuff from Best Buy!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this case.

This was my 2nd case (giving the first one away to my wife for her iPhone 5 upgrade later in the month).

I should've gone with this one first. I got the soft shell CLEAR. It's awesome to have a little bit of protection in case of a drop, lay flat capability, see through (can see the sides and back and good access to all ports) and it's rubberized TPU.

It's really the perfect case, for me anyway.

I have the black iPhone 5 and I bought the RocketFish clear see through soft case. One cool feature that I discovered yesterday is if you have your led flash going off when getting a call/text in the dark, the whole outer case glows with it. It creates a flashing glow ring if you have the flash faced down on the counter. I thought It was pretty neat. ;)

I have four of them :) I love them they are a really good case I have teal blue yellow and orange
