Went to the rodeo in Houston and did not remember how violent riding a bucking bronco was. I found it very interesting that most of the bare back bronco riders now wear neck braces and most of the bull riders wear helmets, I presume to minimize whiplash injuries and damage when kicked in the head. I see this as a sport with a short lifespan for most riders. While we were at there we saw a bull rider injury before the bull got out of the shoot.

I used to love rodeos when I was a kid. Nowadays, I see them as spending the day watching people fall off cows and sometimes clowns.
