Opened the app at 2:01am(central time), still showed the store was down. Kept closing and re-opening the app. At 2:07am I was able to complete my order, got a November 3rd delivery to my home. iPhone X 256GB, Verizon, on the IUP

After I did that, I went back in to the store app and ordered an Apple iPhone X leather case, will be delivered on 11/1, so 2 days before I get the phone. All set!

I did the same except I got in on my iMac after unsuccessfully trying my iPhone and iPad (Apple Store wouldn't open; still showed the come back soon logo). Pre ordered around 3:04 am EST (11/3 delivery) then went back to order the Otterbox case (picking up in store on 11/1). I had no intention of loading my iPhone order with anything because of the delay. I'll get Applecare + later . . . after my wallet recovers. 😉🙄😎😀

Used the Apple Store app and was able to get one, I think I checked out in under 10 seconds. Blazing fast, hyped I didn't run into any hiccups.

12:17 am (after they had to call me twice due to their janky call quality).

Each year my iPhone order never goes to "Preparing for Shipment" early. Always until the last moment if I'm going to get screwed over, it shows "Shipped." This year I did an in-store pickup. Wandering if it will ship at all...

Got a 256GB on iUP in each color for 11/3 delivery!

Damn Verizon is that greedy huh? Making you pay some silly upgrade fee. I guess AT&T is not as bad as I thought since they didn't charge such a ridiculous fee.

ATT charged me a $25.00 upgrade fee. Also ridiculous. I will have it waived after I get my phone.

Weirdly I do not have said fee on my order. It does says "Fees and rate plan changes will appear on your next AT&T bill." Perhaps I will get screwed next billing cycle.

Yeah the upgrade fee isn't charged by Apple, it's charged by the carrier and will show on your bill. I agree it's idiotic when you pay full price through Apple.

I'll likely get it credited... especially since they didn't make me aware of it during the preorder process...

AT&T
256GB Silver (wife)
256 Space Gray (me)

I preordered them from Apple, the experience was better than it was with AT&T last year.

I'm wondering if I should change delivery method to pick up at a UPS facility then delivered to my home... pros and cons?
Delivery to my home could be any time by end of day 8pm at night.... pick up is possibly any time of the day on the 3rd before their facility closes?

No. It would be next business day. In your case Monday. You’d have to the weekend without the phone

SG 256 - Finished order around 3:15 a.m. ET. I'm on the IUP and did the pre-order "thing" so I just had to do a few clicks, once I finally got in to the app. Current status is "Preparing to Ship".
