So I was reading on Elsewhere that the reason the phones were actually stuck in Korea is because Apple was sending more phones than the contract actually stated they would be sending meaning Apple is sending ahead of schedule and UPS can't handle it.

Mine is an 11:39 departure from Korea so it's not in Hong Kong but I'm assuming in about 30 minutes it will be. What in the world is going on??? How is Hong Kong any closer to the US than a flight to the friggin' US?? God dammit Apple and UPS. Get your act together. This is such a huge fail.

This is downright hilarious now. I think they are just sending them back to the factory. either that or they've decided to take the long way around to the states. Can't wait to see where its at when I wake up in a few hours.

Unless they had to divert and land due to weather. Or it could be a bad scan. Who knows. Lol.

If any of these scans are legit - For those of us ending up in Hong Kong, at this point, is there anything we can gain from a claim to either Apple or, more importantly, UPS? Is there anything that could possibly be gained for us consumers that have been royally ****ked this entire week?

Anybody see movement for iPhone with October 4-October 10 delivery window? Mine has been processing since I pre-ordered on September 9. (Black iPhone 7+ 32 Gb T-Mobile) I know I need to be patient but it's just so hard. I placed an order on September 9 at 00 hours 22 minutes

What is the date Apple promised you when it shipped? I'd say wait until you know you didn't get it on that day then maybe open a case with them or at least ask.

The scans have to be wrong. Someone double check me, but I'm not finding any Korea to Hong Kong UPS flights.

Nope... They finally left Korea and then they ran into some more bad weather which caused mechanical failures... so they had to make an emergency stop in Hong Kong, but because of the Chinese government policies they're going to have to take them back to China to go through customs again... but don't worry they will scan them as being in Korea... but they will really be in China because they scan ahead of time... but on Monday when they finally leave Korea for the third time they will make one final pitstop in Australia just to go through customs again and so that Apple can give them 1000 more units which will overload the plane causing delays until they find an extra plane... at that time you will be able to check your tracking on the website to see what's going on!!!!

Great question. I ordered at xx:12. Originally quoted at 10/4-10/10 when I originally ordered.

Phone shipped 9/19 and was given 2-3 days delivery from Apple. UPS said 9/21 at first, then it went to 9/22, then on wednesday morning there was no date available anymore from UPS. Apple is still quoting 9/23, but at this point has to be worthless. About 8 hours ago I was one of the many that received the weather delay notification, rather than the mechanical failure notification from this morning.

Their system is just broken. I swear there is some person sitting behind a computer just picking random places to scan the packages from now. Either there is some super sonic flight out of Hong Kong or the pallets of phones are actually sitting in Louisville. I thought about emailing Mr Cook earlier today but figured he is probably well aware of the problems. After this comedic entry I may go ahead and do that tomorrow. If it doesn't look like its coming by midday tomorrow I will be on the phone with them. Its about time they start cancelling these and reserving stock at stores for people.
