I'm pretty sure the factories in China shut down for at least 24 hours. It was a national holiday and there were no flights out of China for over 24 hours. First flight out just left about 2 hours ago since the shut down. This would explain why some have been preparing to ship for over a few days and lack of phones showing up in support profiles.
Did you order a Silver iPhone? Because He did, and for the record, this morning even my closest Apple Store had those in stock... so maybe that's why his phone is on its way already. Black and JB owners are not that lucky

haha it's ok, I'm in the same boat... My iPhone+ 128 Black is still processing for 4/10 - 10/10... And my first choice was a Jet Black that is showing November, so

I did the pre-order last 9th Sept (black matte iPhone+ 128Gb). i live in Germany and the estimated shipping is for next 5th-11th October. Today my brother decided to buy a silver iPhone+ 128Gb. His shipping is for next 12th-18th October.... and reading the post I guess he will receive the phone before me

I'm just guessing but it probably ended at midnight and that's why planes started moving after they were loaded. Means it's now Sunday there that makes sense to me at least.

Those workers usually do not take the holiday. They will got double salaries if they work overtime on holidays, sometimes may even triple.
I'm not 100% on this but I believe the phones get matched by apple and then the order for the specific phone is processed at the factory. After the phone is made, it is matched to the order for serial number etc and then it's loaded into your support profile.
