Apologies, didn't mean to crush hopes. I've been following this thread as it's the closest to my dates and figured with the PFS times matching everyone else here, that I was the start of this week's shipment being distributed worldwide.
Just messing with you,although after what seemed like the longest weekend ever ,people are definitely getting very touchy,glad for everyone who's playing with their new phone,hopefully sooner than later we'll all be at that happy moment
 
Does anyone know that if you preordered iPhone via UPS if you then reserve a store phone at 12:01 if you can just sign-up for another IUP phone in-store and switch the in-store phone to your AT&T plan (leaving preordered phone with no AT&T rate plan) then bring preordered phone in when it arrives and take it off IUP and get taxes for it refunded to your card? How does that work exactly? I don't want to do anything to affect my grandfathered unlimited data plan with AT&T. Thx for any guidance on this.

I asked Apple rep on phone n she said that u can get 2,but that can't switch them ,you'd have to cancel or return the first one.

Totally understand. As I'm in a different country, I was just looking for a group close enough to my dates so I can go through this traumatic experience with similar sufferers, lol. Genuinely hope I'm right and that you all start getting shipping notifications soon. I'll try asking in the store here, see if I can find out if I'm right.

But it was prepared and shipped today.

Ironically, I think I've decided to go with 'normal' Black after seeing how gross it looks smeared with fingerprints and 'light' scratches at the Apple store. Argh!

I've begun to feel the same way. I keep checking store stock to find a 128/256 Matte Black.
 
If I'm still processing for 10/4-10/10 delivery of the 7 Plus 128GB Black with the IUP on AT&T, but I'm able to reserve a time to get the phone tomorrow, do I need to cancel my order before going in to the store to be able to purchase the phone in person using the IUP? Or will I be able to make the in-store purchase on the IUP with my processing order still outstanding, just to be safe in case I get a reservation then show up and for some reason they don't have my reserved phone?

You can do either. Only concern if you switch to PFS b4 you get to the store.

If you don't mind my asking, where does your tracking info say your shipment is headed at the moment?
 
I broke down and bought a 6S plus this weekend. I needed a phone to replace my cracked S7 Edge. Gonna rock it until mine shows up (Oct 4-10 date, currently PFS). When it shows up, I will probably use it for a few days to compare. Then return the one that I like the least.
 
Let's all calm down. We will most likely have our new iPhones in the next few days. Cancelling orders and picking up in stores is fine if you really have to have it now, but a little patience is important in life. Let's remember it's just a phone.

Same applies to everything else said previously and the coming days. We do this because we enjoy it and become excited for new toys.

This. We're all on a discussion forum for crying out loud lol calming down isn't an option. If it were really just a phone to us then we would have completely forgotten about our orders until the UPS driver was knocking on our door.
 
Update from me before I call it a night - now been in preparing for shipping for about 48 hours for two iPhones - one 128 GB and one 256 GB. Both jet black pluses. No tracking, no support profile update, no change in order status or delivery window.

Was hoping to see an update somewhere before I headed to bed since it's after noon in China now but it looks like that won't be happening. With any luck, I'll wake up to a shipment notice, but otherwise I'm not expecting to receive my phones till at least Wednesday.

I've been keeping my eye on the local Apple store inventory levels but haven't seen a single store in my entire state with a jet black plus available.
 
The only ones available were for Verizon, but I'm AT&T. So I can't use that, right?

Don't have any charges on my card and still processing with a delivery of 10/4-10/10. Am I in for a long wait for my phone? Because the 6 I'm using is past being on its last legs and I'm worried I'll have to go phoneless until my 7 Plus comes in

Checked on the website to make the reservation to IUP in Store pickup and no 7 Pluses Matte Black for my area :(

Just a friendly reminder, those who claims their phone just updated to shipped please post a screenshot (October 4-10batch and beyond). It is stressful as it is for some of us that spams this site regularly for any kind of information.

I noticed they been sending out shipped notice around 5-6am PST, hopefully some of us will be lucky enough to get them in a few hours.
 
Here is the best tip I can give.

If you have an extra line upgrade available, you can make a reservation using the Apple upgrade program and choose a different upgrade option when you get to the store. I.E. ATT NEXT, purchase outright, etc.
