@Relentless Power i think there is a color difference in bothView attachment 680846
Also apple advertisied iPhone 5 with black slate (not black)and iPhone 7 black,so it's a new color

Please re-read what I already quoted to you the first time.

I quoted "Black is not a new color to the iPhone, as we have seen a different shade before."

Matte Black and Jet Black are different iterations of black, but it's not like black hasn't been introduced before to the iPhone with black slate already existing prior.

And Apple doesn't have a flagship color, only a color in which they choose to heavily market. Any color can supersede the other based on popularity and sales. Apple doesn't decide that, the consumer does. Apple only promotes what they want to.

I think Rose Gold is my next option.

4 - Black
4S - White
5 - White
6 Plus - Gold
7 Plus - Matte Black

I have a rose gold 6s+. I love it. I would buy nearly everything in pink if I could.

Me too I love the Rose Gold and it's such a beautiful color I think we are in the minority but I already started my rose gold collection. iPad Pro in Rose Gold, Rose Gold Beats and my apple watch is in Rose Gold. I also would buy everything in pink if I could even though it drives my husband crazy.

I went from Space Grey to Rose Gold last year, I made my choice the moment i caught a glimpse of the Matte Black. Not sure what iPhone X or 8 has in store but would definitely try a new color

I think with every new color they will gain popularity for a while. Then a new color will arise and curiosity will peak. I've seen jet black and matte black phones everywhere now. More jet black honestly, it's the one I've been waiting for. Aside from my blue 5c, all my phones have been black or as close as I can get them.

They should just call it what it is.

Pink.

I don't see a lot of it. I don't personally like it. Some people think it's too girly (i'm not one of those people however, i just simply much prefer black/grey or white to colours in general. if you like it, more power to you...).

IMHO if you buy a pink apple product you've immediately reduced your re-sale market by up to 50% or more as it's a very polarizing, non-neutral colour.

The same goes for regular gold coloured apple devices too IMHO. Gold looks tacky IMHO. Black and white (and silver) are timeless, classy, neutral, etc...

Again, YMMV, buy what you want. Just be aware that people's tastes vary and the new colours are very much love/hate.

4 - black
5 - black then returned for white.
6 - space grey

I planned on getting the 7 in gold but that was before i learned apple was sticking with the same old 6 design. So im now waiting for the iPhone 8.

I persuaded my wife to get the 6S in rose gold though, i really like it:D

Well I am leasing my phones through sprint so resale value is useless for me. Got this iPhone for $13 a month for 18 months which is around $250 for that amount of time.

I like rose gold. I wanted the SE in Rose gold but they never had it in stock when I wanted to get one so I went with space grey because I liked the black bezels. I did have a rose gold iPhone 6s Plus and loved the color. I recently passed it over to my sister in law who likes it very much.

I didn't pick my iPhone 7 Plus. It was a suprise Christmas gift from my husband. He got me the same color he has, matte black, because I went bonkers over his phone. He had asked me what colors I liked and I said I liked how the antenna lines disappear on the black phones.

One thing to keep in mind with rose gold is if you purchase a device with that colour it will probably cut down on the number of potential buyers interested should you later want to sell later.
Maybe not a big deal in a larger city (large pool of potential buyers), but in a smaller town like where I live I can see that being a negative.
