Not really. Spooked myself. I was actually ok.

Just having a bit of self effacing fun.
Roger that. I asked only because everyone is sick this year and catching one cold after another. Absolute mess.

I've been using some OTC medication to simmer the remaining sensations and they tend to warp your senses a bit. I remember
@A.Goldberg explaining them once long ago in a thread a galaxy or two away. Somewhat experiencing it now. I'll take a week off and brace the annoyances.
Not fun having to think long and hard about whether you did something just an hour ago, or feeling like you've doubled in age waking up twenty times at night to go.
That aside, not getting enough sleep is bad, too. It really does throw you off. Many people, including myself, go through periods where sleep quality falters. You will be asleep but your brain doesn't enter RAM sleep. Sleep paralysis is something else. But before your brain enters REM, your muscular system is relaxed and you're effectively paralyzed. Someone can enter REM but not go through the cycles properly and it affects the quality of sleep. There aren't problems if the period is short. If the period lasts a long time, it may introduce problems. Learning ability and memory are affected. Senses can go awry.
If you've got young kids or did at one point, you should know how bad sleep deprivation is.

Was almost convinced white lab mice were roaming around the house at one point. And seeing a turquoise poodle didn't help.
Edit: One trick my GP taught me was if you're not completely sure, the best way is to begin thinking about something. Use your inside voice to discuss something with yourself. As soon as it turns into gibberish (an actual mess), you need to sleep.
Works when you're in bed, eyes closed and on the verge of falling asleep, too. Prevent yourself from falling into bad sleep habits. Take it from me. Someone who's only slept on their right side their entire life, or as much as I can remember. It's "home" to me. If I roll over onto my back, I wake up. Roll back, asleep in minutes. Can fall asleep sitting upright. Works wonderfully when forced to watch Dancing with the Stars.
Human body is interesting, eh?
