Spotify is the better service overall as I go between it and Apple Music on a daily basis, but these moves by Apple and especially when you have an Apple One sub just make it all the more compelling just to stick with AM.

Does this mean Apple will release Dolby 5.1 audio or higher? Most studios release stereo recordings. Don't want artificially created multi channel quadraphonic music or it’ll sound as bad as auto tune.

Miani acts like a woke idiot on twitter. He has no credibility at all and I don’t put any value into anything he says.

I don’t think that tells about audio quality. It’s well known that many albums mixed differently and should sounds differently. Many albums there sound as good as CDs I have. That is apple and apple comparison.
In addition, I used to collect LP and I know how some albums sound and I get the same sound from Apple Music.
I hate that some music is louder than others at the same volume level. I wish Apple Music had a setting that automatically adjusted the volume up or down.

How about we gain this on iOS:

- Crossfade
- Playlist sorting
- Search within playlists
- Suggested songs to add to playlists
- More mixes based on mood/listening history

And on all platforms, instant and unified search.

That would be preferable to me than redesigned AirPods, especially if the Pros aren't getting an update. I guess we'll have this update and then the stem-less AirPods Pro 2 later.
Yes to all your playlist requests. And allow music to be uploaded to iCloud music library and metadata edited without needing to use iTunes.

I believe there is and it’s called Sound Check (Settings/Music). It will, naturally, change the sound of it though. I used to use it out of curiosity but turned it off after a few days. Maybe it’s because I love listening to music the old way, album by album - not playlists.

Do the AirPods Pro support HiFi? If not, what are the odds they're updated at the same time on the 18th?

If the hi-fi tier will be locked to specific hardware (Basically airpods pro and max) it would ne an insult, as many audio-enthusiasts have high quality third party headphones (mostly wired) and nobody has the resources to own a complete flac collection, so apple music hi-fi would be a fantastic option.
Not sure how much Apple cares about the handful of people with lightning headphones that have onboard DAC and the ability to translate lossless music. I used to have a set, but they broke.

No one is transmitting lossless audio over bluetooth unless it's Apple doing it in their proprietary way, so that's why it would be restricted to AirPods and Beats, at least for wireless headphones.

Hope this is true, HiFi will be great. And I'll be working out of an office again soon, so good timing on the airpods.

How can Apple claim to be green with AirPods? More plastic waste.
The plastic came out of the earth as carbon hydrocarbons and it goes back into the earth as plastic. It’s the beautiful cycle of life. It’s returning home after having blessed a life with wonderful music (unless it was 1970s music then it was all for naught).
