That wouldn't make sense to have two of the largest model as the only option and you can see lots of people demanding an SE form factor back for usability.
A couple dozen posters on MR forums isn’t a lot of people. Nor is 200 on Reddit, or 200,000 or even 2,000,000, for that matter. Or 5,000,000 or 10,000,000.

The new 4.7” lower cost iPhone is being projected to sell up to 30,000,000 units in its first year alone, based on orders that have been received by suppliers.

That’s a winner.

It wasn't a surprise that the 4.7” sold at a higher volume than any other model before the launch of iPhone X. After that, Apple literally forced the people to buy a notch screen iPhone for the latest specifications over two years.

The 4.7” didn’t outsell at a higher volume than any other model before the X. The iPhone 7 iirc and definitely with the iPhone 8, the 5.5” Plus model outsold the smaller 4.7” model.

That wasn’t the case earlier with 6 and 6s, but as time went on, people started doing more with their more powerful phones, and started to prefer larger displays. And that’s what Apple gave them. People want larger iPhones, even if they have to pay more to get them.
As a result, the smaller model of iphone has subpar specifications thus sold lesser volume.

A smaller iPhone is always going to have subpar specs and thus sell lesser volume.

Few want a small screen vs a large screen, a small battery and recharge twice per day vs. larger battery and long run time. Larger iPhones also accommodate many rear cameras easily. Cameras are the most important feature for many customers.

Android has 80% market share compared to 20% for iOS. If people really wanted small phones, you’d see them on Android. If they aren’t a viable product on a platform with four times larger market share, they aren’t going to be viable on iOS, either.

The people here who want a 4” display can want it all they want, but unless they can find another 25-30 million who also want it, don’t expect Apple to make it.

No. A smaller smartphone doesn't mean it should be getting the lower spec which isn't the case on every model of 2019 iPhone except the camera lens.
We’re not talking about a 5.8 vs. a 6.1” iPhone. Both those models are large. An SE-sized iPhone doesn’t have room for a large battery or a three-camera system. It’s too small for the latest tech.

And few want 4” screens. Find 25-30 million customers for a 4” iPhone and Apple would be happy to make you an SE-sized iPhone, with whatever might be able to fit into that form factor.

Wanting a thing is not enough to get it. It has to be a viable product.

It isn't necessarily about screen size but more of the physical size of SE.
And the physical size of the SE is too small for the latest tech. It’s even too small for a notched display, since the ears would be so small they wouldn't be able to hold the status icons.

So you’re left with a large forehead, and a relatively small screen.

Not entirely true but more of FUD.
The only FUD is coming from you. Apple’s going to introduce four new iPhones this fall, and the smallest will be 5.4”.

No matter what you say, it won’t change a thing. I get that you want an SE-sized iPhone. But you’re not going to get it. However, the 5.4” will be smaller than the iPhone 8, so that’s good.

A plus sized phone purchase does not mean it was and will always be a customer's preferred size. I bought a 6+ out of curiousity. Hated it. Bought a 7 plus because my preferred choice was out of stock and needed a new phone ASAP before traveling. Also, the iPhone XR was the most popular of its generation due to price, not because it was the perfect size.

But go ahead and make erroneous assumptions based on your flawed data without considering the other possible reasons.

No erroneous assumption, by and large people who bought the bigger screens liked the bigger screens. Xs max even outsold the Xs last year

Not sure what you mean but that's fine if you don't like people talking previous iterations of iPhone SE.
There are people here still bitching about Apple discontinuing the 17” MBP in 2012 lol.

I’m 100% certain people will still be bitching about the SE 5-10 years from now.

Imagine, the year 2025 or 2030 and still bitching and whining about the SE 🙄

Erroneous interpretation. The Xr cannibalized the Xs phones due to lower prices despite being a bigger phone. Take out the Xr and Xs would outsell Xs Max easily.

One could argue that the size of the Xr would have cannibalized Xs max sales too because the size difference is not significant. Bigger screen at a cheaper price? That’s what many people want. At $350 thats a pretty big jump for only a marginally bigger display. Either way we can look at the numbers for the iphone 8 and 8+ as well; 8+ outsold the 8 despite being more than $100 more.

Many people genuinely like big screen phones, maybe you don’t, and that’s okay

I'm just hoping the smaller one will get the same specs as Max. I really don't like that size, it's way too large.

Hard to know right now. iirc the Max is rumored to be getting cameras with larger sensors. If that has anything to do with it increasing slightly in size from 6.5 to 6.7”, then the 6.1” Pro won’t have them.

Well yeah TOF will be on pros only. The smallest will be the iPhone 11 smaller version
