4GB mini with 1tb drive? Is there even a 1tb 2.5 inch drive, and if so, why don't I have it in my MBP?

It doesn't exist so either:
a) this is a load of rubbish.
b) Apple has made room for WD's thicker 2.5" Hard Drives which do go up to 1 TB.
c) Apple has made the mini bigger and more badass with a 3.5" Hard Drive.
d) Apple has taken the optical drive out?

Umm, because this is Macrumors where it's practically a national passtime to dream of things that are utterly impractical to deliver at current tech / price points then cry bitter tears of betrayal when they don't launch? Just a guess you understand

Massive anticipation... apple store stays up... wailing and gnashing of teeth.... much scorn is heaped upon those who believed... and THEN they take it down way later than they normally do. I'd think it most likely refresh on the Mac Mini, refresh / update on the iMac (maybe a suplimental machine to the existing line?), maybe a new Macbook and a possibility of other cool things like multitouch mice. Anything else would be a real surprise (albeit a welcome one).

Yeah, I know. But there weren't any rumors about a new AEBS, and the Macrumors buyers guide doesn't even list it.

I should have known something when Amazon doesn't have them in stock.

I wonder what my options are at this point? I could return it and pay the restocking. Or I can look to see if Amex offers some sort of price protection.

I think they should come up with a credit card to guard against Apple Updates.
