Just what I was thinking. This would be just what I need to replace my aging G4 Xserve. Only question is 'how much?'
I predict after the updates to the store are made people will say
"Man, Apple gave us everything we had hoped for!"

It's nice but last year's tech (I guess that makes it more likely then as that's Apple's style). 4750/5750 would've been nicer.
Why would you get two disks when you can have one?
Speed (RAID 0). Safety (RAID 1). And as mentioned before there doesn't exist a 1tb 2.5" drive.

Hmm... I just had a kooky idea. Remember Apple's old(ish) patent application with some sort of dock on the back of a monitor, into which you would slide a computer?
Would be funny if the new Mini is a razor thin thing that slides into a monitor and becomes the iMac. Absolutely useless, of course, but... funny.

I doubt it. I think they simply realize that small companies are ordering the Mini to be a server, so they are simply the process by letting you tack it on when you order.
There may be a second NIC as well.
Well, there is a 1TB laptop drive now but it's 12.5mm thick vs. the usual 9.5mm and will only fit in unibody Macs. Certainly not in a Mac mini.

There are 750 GB and 1 TB Western Digital 2.5" drives out.
