Interesting. OP, did you ever test a series 3 against the Fenix? If so, were the tracks as close with that comparison? I tried to run with my series 3 a lot shortly after getting it last year and the distance never seemed to match what I’d get with my Garmin 230. I think the 3 always ran long for me, as in it would show 1 mile when my 235 would show .9 or so.

RunGap works very nicely for exporting data to other services. Like others have said, the good stuff costs $2 every 3 months.

Alternatively, there's an app called HealthFit (which I've not used), but does pretty much the same exporting options. It's a one time app purchase of $5 (or so).

Personally, I like RunGap because of one particular feature that I've not seen any other app incorporate.

When you view a particular workout (in my case, a run), you can compare that run with other runs that are "similar". So if you run the same route a lot, you can easily select all of your other runs and it does a quick filter. It's based on the GPS map, so if you run laps, they'll all be considered "similar" even if they aren't the same distance.

Does anyone have any satellite comparison info for each device or even the AW by itself.

Interested in how many and which birds the AW is locking onto in different areas of the country as that could affect accuracy ever so slightly.

did a marathon last sunday wearing both my Fenix 5 and the AW4 and the garmin registered in at 29 miles while the AW was at 27. both off a bit but the F5 was WAY off.

I use a Fenix 5x Plus for training, but always have my AW on too. Both are great tools. I think I would switch to the AW completely if the UI was better. I believe Apple is dropping the ball with the Health App.

Installed Spotify on the 5+. I'm listening to a podcast with 250 episodes and I'm at 138. It took forever to get to it. I had to start at 250, go backward in 5-step increments and wait each time. It took about 10 minutes to load it. Unfortunately, you can't save a podcast to a playlist in Spotify. This wouldn't be a problem for most podcast but since this is a historical podcast, sequence matters.

Being able to sync across devices like I can with the podcast app is a plus for the AW.
