The toxicology reports confirm that he was drunk at the time of the crash. Shocking.

PHILADELPHIA – "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn had a blood-alcohol content that was more than twice the legal limit when he and a passenger died in a fiery one-car crash this week, according to a toxicology report.
Dunn's Porsche may have been traveling as fast as 140 mph in a 55 mph zone when it jumped a guardrail, flew into a wooded ravine, struck a tree and burst into flames, police said.
His blood-alcohol level was 0.196 at the time of the Monday morning crash, according to the toxicology report released Wednesday by West Goshen Township Police. The legal limit for drivers is .08.

I never met Ryan but my buddy has many many times and I've hung with Steve-O a few times so it's sad to hear a key member of Jackass is dead a true "funny man" is gone.

As stated above, Dunn was drunk when this crash occurred. Unfortunately, he had a history of bad driving decisions:

Per Pennsylvania court records, the reality star had at least 23 driving infractions over the last 13 years from six different counties, among them citations for speeding and careless driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, two parking-related transgressions and a criminal mischief-damage to property citation.

Most of the infractions ended in guilty pleas.

E! News has also learned Dunn had two arrests under his belt, one in 2001 for a traffic infraction and another in 2005 after he was busted for DUI. The latter charges were dismissed however once he completed probation and had his license suspended for a year.

Jackass Vs Jackasses? Westboro Baptist Church Plans To Protest Ryan Dunn’s Funeral

Apologies for the flippant tone in the headline. Obviously, by “jackasses” we actually meant “horrible, bigoted, wastes of space who disgrace themselves and our country in their flagrant attempts at self promotion.” That wasn’t very catchy though. As a general rule, Mediaite tries hard to ignore the jackasses that make up the Westboro Baptist Church (aka the hate mongers who protest funerals of American soldiers carrying “God Hates Fags” signs.) It is our belief that if everyone in the media ignored them, whatever power they have would likely be diminished. (The fact that I am originally from Kansas and am constantly embarrassed by their behavior while wearing KU apparel is probably also a factor.) However, this story is an exception for the following reasons — we think there is a decent chance for a delightful karmic comeuppance with their reported plans to attend the memorial service for Jackass star Ryan Dunn.

International Business Times reports:

The church has a history of protesting high-profile burials, often calling deaths a punishment from God. The group has been denounced as radical by many Christian organizations.

“WBC will picket any public memorial/funeral held for Dunn, warning all not to make a mock of sin, and to fear and obey God,” the group said in a news release. It’s headline states: “Ryan Dunn is in hell!”

DellaVechia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc said services and interment for Dunn will be private. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.

While recent news of Dunn’s blood alcohol level has created a bit of an Internet debate regarding his death, his friends and family see his passing as nothing less of a tragedy, regardless of the circumstances. And one can only imagine how Dunn’s cohorts will receive the Westboro Baptist Church protestors. Some may call the potential conflict “jackass vs. jackass.” This might be the news item featuring the hatemongers that’s worth amplifying and following.

The Jackass guys should create a stunt that involves those jackasses. Perhaps try to jump a monster truck over them. Hopefully they won't come up short and crush them.;)

Or Pontius can strip down to a thong and do the Party Boy bit. I'm sure the Westboro jackasses would love that ;)

Perhaps I could be so bold as to say that this was Darwinism at it's finest.

Don't get me wrong, it's not good that people died, but drinking while driving and then speeding on top of it.... that's just asking for trouble. If he lacked the foresight to avoid such a stupid situation it's likely that he would have died somewhere else under similar circumstances. It's like you're playing Russian roulette with your life, and this time there was one in the chamber.
