Not really adding anything new to this thread but just wanted to give my $0.02 on Serenity.
I thought it had the best cast chemistry of any TV show I've seen and I would love to see the continuation of the story in any form possible. As far as what story Josh has left to tell that is really secondary to me to simply watching the interaction of the cast. That may sound a little weird but to me great TV shows/movies are defined by a cast that I would want to watch irregardless of the plot line.

Not sure if the rest of us should take offence at that one...😛

One thing that happened at the end of the movie that could generate a lot of plot possibilities, is the exposure of the acts of the Alliance, revealing them as the bad guys. This sets up the potential for all-out war between the core systems and the outlying planets, resurrecting the browncoats with renewed force. It's a bit Star Wars, but like Oneness said, it's all about the characters, and the war is just the context.

I agree, that's my theory about their original plan. But the story hasn't been told, so that story (or some alternate story) could still be told for her. And could end in at least two ways 😱
