To think that ceramic or even stainless steel haven't been available in The Netherlands since Series 3 due to lack of cellular support... Ceramic looks beautiful, it's the only version I want. Wish I could see them in stores.
Take advantage of the EU before Brexit and buy it from the UK.
Been looking at discontinued bands on eBay... so many out there. The classic buckles (why the heck did Apple stop making those??), all kinds of colors for the leather loop (forest green is tempting)... good prices on second-hand link bracelets, but it’s hard to tell how beat up they are from pics...

The Hermès single loops are really nice, but so expensive compared to the Apple classic buckle they used to have.
But the Hermès bands are of much better quality than the old Apple Classic buckles.

Personally I would go for a black or silver watch as I think it looks more professional in a corporate environment. I’m like you in regards to wearing suits and to me the ceramic looks very casual. The problem I also have is the ceramic only seems available in 44mm which is huge on my wrist. The white is an acquired taste I feel and although I liked it when I tried it out, it’s not an everyday watch IMHO.

My SSSB series 4 looks very corporate and I love it but at the same time it doesn’t really stand out when out and about in public. That what I miss about the Ceramic. It’s different and not many around

I don’t tend to wear watches to draw attention though so maybe we are different in that respect. They are for my own enjoyment only.

I am not saying that i wish to draw attention. I just think that it stands out because the colour is somewhat unique and there aren't many around and it is so versatile with the variety of bands...except for metal bands

I love how my SS looks when I’m in the office I must admit

I am scratching my head why there is so much concern about this.
This here are much larger silver watches than the Apple Watch.
the S5 is more sleek looking than the S3 , which I have worn with suits.
I had the same concerns and discovered the watch doesn’t stand out any more than any other watch and any insecurities were with me.
The S2 and S3 have been worn with suits in formal settings, business settings and in casual settings.
Initially I had insecurities wearing the watch. Honestly I wear the hell out of it and quite frankly don’t care if people make a judgement.

I have been in many corporate settings where I have seen Al watches in sleeves and many gold watches on women’s wrists.
I think we are a little self conscious of the ceramic; one because it’s white and two because of the price tag.

I suppose the yellow cream would look similar?

Lemon Cream is slighty darker than Mellow Yellow but both are appreciably lighter than the other yellow tones Apple has released (Yellow, Pollen, Canary, Lemonade and Flash)

It comes down to personal preference. Black and white watch cases are inherently less dressy than a polished, polished and matte or matte metal ones. Just keep in mind the white ceramic will certainly standout more than the black SS or Ti.

Good luck with your decision. They’re all nice watches.

Thanks very much for your suggestions. I had SS Hermès 1 and 2 3 years ago, now wearing Rolex SS watch, that is why I am a little bit tired about silver SS and too much scratches))). That’s why I am more into black SS, black Ti or white Ce. I am in Russia, we don’t have SS, Ti or Ce models in our shops, only Al. I am going to order series 5 from eBay or from my friend in Canada. So I can’t go to shop and try them all to find the right variant. From pics and videos on YouTube black SS Hermès model looks more luxurious, than Ti or Ce versions. But I had silver SS Hermès 2 and to tell the truth hadn’t find, that Hermès leather bands (I had 5 different, also limited blue-burgundy) are very good quality.

On Series 5 I really struggled to decide which one to buy. First had the SBSS Hermes delivered, sent that back unopened to receive my SB Titantium. Really like that one with the Black Link Band. But also still had a Ceramic on order which arrived today. Will likely keep that one. Quite drastic difference, but like how iconic it is and the overall feel using the white sports band vs. the link bank on the Titanium (and SBSS previously).

Question: if the white sports band needs replacement, is there any chance to buy the one with the ceramic pin? Maybe through Apple direct? I have AppleCare+ for the Ceramic, too. But this is more about getting a new white one in case it takes on other colors from clothes - like my wifes did.

I'm not sure if you can get it from apple direct or not- I know some people have gotten warranty replacements of the band, but I've never heard of anyone just buying it outright from them. But who knows!

it depends on how traditional or conservative watch color you prefer. Black watches are common. If you are a conservative person, your safe choice is either titanium black (A little more pricey than SBSS) or SS Black. If you like a unique color than traditional/common watch colors (black, silver or gold), ceramic is your best choice. Personally, I am tired of regular watch colors (black, silver or gold) as they are dull or boring and prefer unique color such as white ceramic to regular colors. I returned the SBSS series 5 to get ceramic as it was nothing exciting to wear. After having and wearing ceramic for 4 days, I feel excitement and always look for wearing it while it is being charged. It feels premium and sporty also. Your choice is yours.

It is absolutely true the white ceramic stands out more than black SS or Ti. The white ceramic brings the best out of the dark glass and Apple Watch unique frame shape. From afar, people can notice right away that you wear Apple Watch. White ceramic gives the feeling premium, unique and sporty (which for me, exciting feeling) while black SS and Ti just give regular/traditional watch feeling (for me, no excitement).

It’s all subjective though isn’t it. You’re excited by a white Apple Watch and are happy with the huge premium it demands. I get the same level of satisfaction from an Aluminium AW and highly doubt either of us envy each other. Just buy and enjoy what you like I say.

Indeed, those buying SS or this are buying it based on looks as lets face it the watch does the same things as the aluminium....

Yeah, a lot here forget these are essentially the same watch albeit with a different casing finish. I like the aesthetics of the aluminium mind you or I wouldn’t have bought it either. The ceramic is nice, not my taste for everyday wear though. The SS is perhaps the best looking in my opinion but only just, and out of my comfort zone on price. All worthy of admiration though.

You would be surprised how many people wouldn’t even notice.
walk into an Apple store and I am better not one employee would notice. Only those in the know would spot it.
I like the Ti I just don’t love it.
I would sit be sitting on the fence and the finger on the trigger

I know most people don't notice but I do know two people in my office that would and again in my field, I don't want to give off that luxury appearance, if I was in Sales I definitely would. Frankly if I only had one Apple watch it would probably be the SBSS but with 3 I can wear them to what I believe are their individual strengths for my situation.

Your comments are applicable to owning a car. Some of us love to have luxury cars and some of us prefer non luxury cars. Both car types have typical car functions and we choose to buy a car based on our budget, color preferences, etc. All these also apply to owning an Apple Watch.
