OP, nobody has asked this so I will, why are you considering the 7 series? Why not an X or an 8?

As far as android to ios goes, I was an android user for years. I always rooted my phone and used custom OS's and basically did whatever I wanted with it. I don't miss android at all, yes it was fun but IOS does everything I want and need and it all works really well.

As far as hardware goes, I don't really know why anybody would buy a 7 now. It's basically 3 generations behind, maybe only 2 depending on how you look at things. New iphones will come out in october/november. I have been thinking I wanted to update my 7+ but I'll wait another 7 months or so and see what's next.

I have a 7 and a s8+ One thing I have decided is I like the LCD displays better than Amoled. Speed wise both of them feel very fast with no lag. I would be perfectly happy to go to a 7+ from a S8 myself.

It's all about what works for you. I have a 7+ and I love it. It's fast and the screen is beautiful and the phone gets some incredible battery life. I bought it from the Apple refurbished store, and right out of the box, it's about as brand new as you can get. I upgraded from an i6 and don't regret my purchase one bit.

Apples iPhones that are refurbished are some of the best. They typically replace the display, battery and casing. It’s very hard to tell that they are not new as a replacement device.
