also, completely off topic, username anything to do with the band?
Sorry, this is of absolutely no help to you, but 1363 text messages in one month!
Damn!
This is my universal username and that's the first time I've ever been asked about it.
To answer your question, yes. I started using this when Lostprophets actually kicked ***.
Honestly, It isn't that much at all. Between my sister and I (both teens in high school) we go through 4000-5000 each per month. My "record" for texts in a month is ~7,500. Granted I have a sidekick with the unlimited plan. (iPhone in a few months!!)
I'm sorry about your situation, companies are really stubborn over their overcharges. Just keep trying, be aggressive but not disrespectful, and don't take no for an answer. $60 is a lot, but trust me, it could be much worse. Hope everything gets worked out!
Please, my daughter once hit 2500 in a month. Since she had only 1000 at the time, she had her phone taken away for 2 weeks.
Yeah. When my 14 yr old niece got her iPhone I made sure she had unlimited texts on it. She easily goes over 2500 texts a month.

why, may i ask is a 14 year old getting an iphone?
Shoot I'd have to say that I usually send ~3000 a month while my brother would be around 4000-5000 and my sister really takes the cake, I've seen her go from 8000-10000+ a month which is crazy. She's 18, and we are 24 & 21 so we're just old and slow I guess. I think then my littler brother is probly in my sister's range. Even my parents send around 1000 each probly every month, so I guess we have gotten into that whole testing deal.
Just curious...and I am really not trying to be a smartass...but, when do you all talk or do things as a family? with that much time texting, how do you have time to do anything but text? I am really just curious because I am lucky to get 50 per month and it is just beyond me to fathom those fantastic numbers you have posted and still have family communications and quality time.
Well my bro and I are in college and you can imagine that my sister is always on her phone. I'd have to say that I've just gotten used to integrating the testing with everyday life from class to just hanging out. I'm now in grad school and didn't even start college with a cell phone and didn't really text myself for several years. Once you get to unlimited however, I've found that it only increases. I say this as I type while in class, so I'm not too foreign to doing while doing other things. I don't know how but it is easy to do
Edit: plus with the iPhone chat-like model I find that you don't even notice. But that is just my humble opinion.
I still can't understand what your saying and how this fits into your daily routine, I am just trying to understand.
If you send an average of 3K texts as you stated in your other post, at an average of say 20 sec per text, this equates to 10 hours of nothing but texting during the month. For your sister we are looking at an estimate of 30+ hours per month of nothing but texting. For you to be in grad status: you have class time, study time, eating, sleeping, I imagine a little social life in there and more then likely a job of some sorts...how do you focus on those things if you are texting? Wouldnt that make those around you feel a little ignored if you are texting and they are trying to talk with you? Or the professors trying to teach and your typing away? Now apply this to your sister? How do you all do this terrific feat and still have a family/social life?
Again, my intent is not to criticize in any way...please bear with me, if you will. Thank You for your answers.
You know I can't say that I have really considered the cumulative amount of time involved with texting and I'm sure you're close to the target with the 20 seconds per. I actually just checked my data for February and was at 3700, which is pretty high for me. I will say I text my gf often when we're apart which accounts for alot of that no doubt. I would say that I'vr always been pretty good at multitasking though I'm sure that's debatable. In class I try to be surreptitious (sp?) if possible, and I just try to split my attention generally. It seems that texting has just become accepted in my experience and with those I know. Its sorta like second nature would be a vague attempt at explanation. That and my sister is just ridiculous. Also I must confess myself tired of school and just trying to get thru it and probably being rude in the process. I somehow go to bed by 12 most nights and get up by ~8, just a random addition. I don't know if that helps clarify my existence at all?
LOL...not trying to get too personal here as I don't want you to have to paste your life all over the internet so I guess, I can go with the understanding of multi-tasking and understanding your generation being able to listen to music, do homework and chat all at the same time. Just seems to me that it looses its "personal" touch and you loose the social factor without the voice communication and normal conversation plus not being able to focus 100% on what the boring professor is saying. I guess my loss is the multi-tasking part and only being able to focus on two things at a time...listen to music and one other thing...but I am glad that I still have my social and personnal communications skills and like dealing with individuals on a face to face non-digital method.
Thank you for answering my questions...I think I can understand a little now, though will never agree totally with it. Good Luck in school and please, hang in there, its worth it and your almost done...don't loose all that you have gained.
Take Care and Good Luck!
Why don't yall just go ahead and exchange phone numbers so that you can have this conversation via text...
