Big fan of passkeys, but it seems like it'll be a while before true passwordless login is a thing. Hopefully it'll get to a point where it's as ubiquitous and easy as OAuth sign-in.

One thing I noticed messing around with them earlier today is that some sites you used to be able to create passkeys with by scanning a QR code, now prompt for a USB security key. So it appears that now they may need to provide explicit support for passkeys.

Anyone knows how I can get 1Password to work again in iPad OS 16.1. I briefly see the jigsaw-piece in the address bar but it disappears after page-load. Worked fine in 15.7 yesterday. Running 1Password 8.9.6 on the iPad.

UPDATE: I disabled and re-enabled the 1Password extension in Safari's settings and restarted the iPad. Now seems to be working.

I’m not sure I can think of any websites that I want web push enabled on. I thought iOS was supposed to get web push too?

Passkeys will be great when I can store them in Bitwarden instead of being locked to Google, Microsoft, or Apple devices.

I updated Monterey and Safari 16.1 and it fixed the moving a tab over to another Safari window issue.
Oddly for me tab stuff was stable on 16.0 and 16.1 has introduced bugs with tab dragging and duplication between tab groups. Tab groups was finally working great for me and 16.1 had borked it :-(
