Isnt 4 finger up (or down) do expose right now??

i dont have a unibody so idk but apple should allow them to be customized in the trackpad system preferences panel.

regardless, 3 finger up/down currently isnt used so using it in safari wont cause a conflict.

Unless of course Apple has plans for 3 finger gestures in SL. Apple doesnt want confusion with its multitouch, thats why we dont see things like patterns or swirls.

SL? I think I know what you mean and its a good point, but what could be better than switching tabs:D

Ultimately I think we should be able to configure everything ourselves.

I want to map 3 and 4 finger click, they're available, but neither OS x nor the browsers let me :p

yes apple was nice enough to provide a trackpad panel system preferences, so why not make good use of it. :D

Stop complaining and DIY.

I thought Id try Safari after using firefox since I got my mac, I liked the 3 finger swipe to top or bottom of page. It is extremely useful when using forums. Im a bit disappointed that safari does not have it, and will probably revert to firefox.

Alternative for MultiClutch... BTT

I have been searching for AWHILE for a good solution to add 3-finger-swipe to Safari like Firefox has. I followed the link for MultiClutch and found the new software BTT (BetterTouchTool - Download the latest version in the blog post if you have the magic trackpad). This program is awesome because it allows me to use gestures system-wide and defined by program. It also allows iPhone-like scrolling which reverses the direction of scrolling gestures (swipe two fingers up, the screen moves up). I had previously used Smart Scroll to do this, but it didn't allow the three finger swipe and it also costs $15. I do like Firefox, but I was having some problems with bugs; I think BTT and the new extensions gallery will make me a permanent Safari user... that is unless Firefox comes up with a major update that will blow me away (Which I don't see yet in Firefox 4 or Minefield betas).
