I think it depends which ones you have installed. I think some extensions are created more efficient than others.
Plugin Customs = Blocks plugins, such as Flash, from loading automatically. Improves security and battery life.
Gentle Status Bar = Status bar that appears when mouse over a link. Safari theme and supports modifier keys.
ResizeMe = Provides customizable options to resize the safari window. Provides a button and contextual menu item.
Search Preview = adds a thumbnail beside each result in Google, Bing, and Yahoo searches.

Safari Extensions on PC / Twitter feed
Has anyone else experienced problems with the Twitter feed extension when running Safari 5 on Win7? It seems to work perfectly on my Mac Safari but totally locks up Safari on my PC. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Safari but problem just keeps re-emerging. Seem to be able to run other PC applications but Safari is frozen and only way around problem is to terminate application from Task Manager. I can't even uninstall the Twitter extension.
In a perfect world I would just use my Mac Safari but my work software only runs on Win7.
Any suggestions???

I know that it is impossible for the Search Bar itself to be modified via extensions (no Inquisitor, alas) so I'm not so sure if developers can replace the search+address bar.
Why cant i get the youtube downloader? On the youtube page it says this is no longer compatible

YouTube broke mp4 download for a few weeks. Now it's very rare that it works.
Does anyone have an issue with the weather channel ext showing up as a black box instead of the temperature? I configured it with my zip code and it works with one window, but if I open up a new window, it only shows a black box. When I hover over it, it says, "Configure 1-ClickWeather in your Preferences."

I've tried almost all the decent extensions for Safari and found that they were just extra crap I didn't need that slowed my browser down. If I want to use lots of extensions and add-ons I just use Firefox instead.
Extensions are pretty stagnant right now, in terms of new ones entering Apple's gallery. There's a couple that caught my attention.
