I have been struggling with this same issue for as long as I can remember BUT I may have solved it .

Under Settings > Developer Settings I checked "Disable local file restrictions" and so far I have not had to log into any websites (a big change from logging into LinkedIn 5 to 10 times per day).

This didn't work for me. :-(

Still have this problem (Macbook Air M2). The weird thing is that the Safari only keeps logging me off certain sites. Instagram is OK, Facebook & Gmail & YouTube is immediately logged off when I open the Develop menu.

Yep same. Still logs me out. I keep Developer mode to Safari TP to not have problems... which can be cumbersome every time I need to Inspect..

I wonder if this is the issue we’ve been having. Fixed in Safari Technology Preview 209.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where sites would log out automatically after a brief time. (286436@main) (99829958)
Sounds like it could be, given that it mentions Web Inspector, which is only available in Developer mode.

🤞

Edit: The bug tracker ticket for this fix actually references this thread! Just installed the the current Technology Preview and will report back.

Any update?

Not like I'm gonna switch back from Firefox though. It was gonna have to happen anyway, since it's likely I won't be using macOS in 5 or 10 years.

(For me, the bright red line is if they fully remove the ability to run unsigned apps. They keep making it harder and harder to do so, while libelously claiming that unsigned apps are malware.)

OK, I'm calling it: fixed! Zero problems after almost a week of using Safari Technology Preview 209. Hoping this fix makes it to the release version soon.

Is is at all possible to install this while using Monterey 12.7.6? My issue is different but was hoping a later update might fix. I'm actually having "Safari can't find the server apple.com" issue. Firefox is working flawlessly but I'd strongly prefer to be able to use Safari.
