In addition, turning off multi-process windows greatly sped up Safari for me. It now feels as snappy as Snow Leopard.

Yes but a lot of extension are not "on", two for example: clicktoflash and usercss. Simply the extension seems to be not installed.

I really hope in a fix for that, Lion make me >

i'm actually considering chrome and camino now … dammit safari  you were the chosen one

chrome is much faster than safari … and has a better fullscreen implementation, including max window size. everything else kind of sucks oh well

Uhm, just for curiosity, are you (the guys with the "reload bug") using a ad-block css style? Because I've removed mine (fanblock-css-style or similar name for block the ads) and at the moment I have no "weird reload"….

Finally finally I've solved this bug (without remove/disable the webkit2 features), in your interner plugins folder remove (or better move to another folder) the JavaAppletPlugin.plugin  this fix the reload bug!

Maybe could be also the Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin but I think is not this plugin, I don't rememer well because i've deleted from the folder these two plugins 1 week ago and untill now I haven't got any "unwanted reload" (before do it, safari reloaded the tabs 1-2 times any 2-3 hours)

(when you need java you can put again the plugin in the folder, or wait for an update that fix the bug  )

No solution again... Safari 5.1.2 still has this bug, tabs reload on WebProcess crash after 3-4 days of usage:
