Again: you've done something wrong. In no way did Safari under iOS6 behave significantly better than under iOS7.

It did for me, absolutely. I never had any page crashes (which I get lots of with iOS7) and the browser ALWAYS used to remember where I was on a page. Say if I was reading an online newspaper and clicked on an article, once I had read it and clicked backpage to go back to the newspaper homepage, it would take me back to exactly where I was before on the page. In iOS7 it always takes me back to the top of the page. Likewise when doing Google or Bing searches, if I clicked on a link, read it and backpaged to where I was before, it would take me to the exact location. With iOS7 it always takes me to the top of the search page and never remembers where I was. This is infuriating.

I've just tested "Back" (that is, not multiple tabs) under 7.0.6 on the 64-bit rMini - that is, in the worst (64-bit, 7.0.x, Retina iPad screen) possible combination. No generic problems with Back - it works as it's supposed to.

Not for me it doesn't. Sure it takes me 'back' but to the top of the page and not to where I was on the page. This has happened on every version of iOS7.

I never had Safari (or any other) crashes in iOS 6, but certainly have seen them in iOS 7.

As for the back functionality, mine still works like it did before where going back takes me to the same place on the page where I was. Perhaps if there's not enough free memory when you go to the new page it sort of off-loads the previous page and when you go back it has to load it all over and take you to the top because of that, but if it doesn't have to load it it can take you just back to where you were (at least it does for me on my iPhone 5).

Clean installs and each subsequent version of iOS7 haven't helped this problem on either my i5 or my father's i4. It's very strange how some aren't experiencing this problem.

Today I had no tab reloading, nothing. Everything works really great, oh....wait...
I have been using my iMac and Macbook Air only...:)

No fair, that is a workaround. Well then I guess you can try Mercury, Chrome, Icab, and other browers instead of Safari on the iPad! :)

We don't all go to the same sites, have the same amount of tabs open, don't have the same apps open, etc. etc.

Pretty much it is just a few tabs open for me when I browse, absolutely nothing else. And I throw some salt over my shoulder! :)

Forgot the screen shots with all three browsers. All three with three tabs. Still over 300MB free

Admittedly clueless. Is this screenshot from an app? How do I get my iphone or ipad2 to display this info like this? Thx

pretty much sums up there is nothing they can do to fix the refresh problem.

64bit + 1gb ram = no bueno

7.1 has improved things quite a bit. My iPad Mini (1st Gen) no longer reloads every single tab like it used to. It hasn't crashed yet either.

I find that if I keep my Safari open tabs to less than six, then my crashes and reloads are minimal. Sadly, one of the benefits of iOS7 was an increased amount of tabs but the system memory just can't handle them. For me, aside from the more modern aesthetics of iOS7, the only benefit to the upgrade was the increased number of tabs/pages you could have open. So iOS7 brings nothing to the table for me other than a new look, battery drain and some bugs.
