apple is just trying to save you money (har har ;) ) so you can spend it on new apple gadgets! crutchfield is a joke. Add 20% to any item you want = Crutchfield pricing.

hey LeeTom is that you in your avatar?
wow! i got on here to ask the same question!

oh and to get on topic. i told you mine didn't work on safari, then some guy said that it is DNS related. Well, it works on IE but does not on safari. so it has to be safari somehow.

Update: when I disable my firewall on my PC (Zone Alarm), it works. It must be using some kind of redirect or something, because when I enable third party cookies, it works fine. Best Buy is weird like that sometimes for me, too. I've simply stopped shopping there. CompUSA and Newegg work fine in any browser I try.

I've had a related problem with various sites and Camino vs Safari. They won't open in Camino, but will open when I try right away afterwards with Safari. Same computer, same connection, same bookmark, different browsers.

That workaround works for me,
and yes... that IS me in the avatar, although i'm not usually making that face (i think)

Guys, try to access http://www.crutchfield.com/. If you get an error, then try to go to http://www.crutchfield.com/index.htm. The message will change (and the address too: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4KDGogBJPCE/) but still an error. Then remove the S-4K... and you'll get it. After that, you can just go to http://www.crutchfield.com/ and should work.

My apologies for not taking it serious before... and ok LeeTom, seems it's not DNS related.
This still did not work for me. And if I didn't say it before, it does work in firefox for me but not in safari.

i just clicked the link and this is what i got:

The system cannot find the path specified.

this is from safari on 10.2 on my work computer

but i've been having the same issue on my home computer for a few weeks now. and it won't open in safari or IE on 10.3

anyway, it doesn't bother me too much, but if i worked for crutchfield, i'd definately check that out :hint: :hint:

You were almost there

You stopped in the middle. Read again, this is the changed message I was referring to. Just follow the steps and it should work.
