    Doesnt matter. Both will work. One is the slim 7mm and one is the 9.5 or 9mm
    Both will fit with no issues too.

    Either one is fine. With the upgrade kit you get a nice adapter though to use your drive externally. Only difference. Well in this case, it'd be for your old HDD. Oh! And the upgrade kit brings a bracket so you can put your old HDD into a desktop if you want.

    I agree with this suggestion.

    I've had many brands & top of the line SSD's in the last few years.

    Now I'm using three 512GB Samsung 830's in my various MBP's. Each of them see lots of use & I'm very satisfied.

    They're both 7mm according to the newegg specs.
