Did you disconnect the battery before installing?
Pretty simple job
Cloned to ssd in usb3 enclosure
Swap drives out
Started it up
Whole thing with cloning took about 20min
All u need is a T7 torx and PH00 Phillips
Its like nothing happened. Computer wise. Clone worked perfectly. Only thing I had to do was set the desktop picture I had before.
Same thing happened when I restored whole computer with time machine. Just never kept the desktop pic on. Weird
Anyways it way faster and no noise.

I did when I swapped the Superdrive out for the 2nd hard drive, but not when I fitted the SSD into the HDD bay. I do have one issue though, but it is pretty minor.
I wiped all data off the old drive and installed a fresh copy of Mountain Lion with all of the basic apps I needed (excluding Office, Adobe suite etc) so that if I had any issues, all I had to do was put the old drive back in. When I cloned the drive using CCC, the clone completed fine, however when booting from the SSD, it takes about 20 seconds for the Apple logo to appear, indicating that it is struggling to find the startup files. Once the apple logo appears though, it takes about 10 seconds for the login screen to appear.
A quick checkdisk may fix that though.
You may need to right click your ssd and select "get info", then enable reads and writes to the ssd at the bottom of the info page first. To do that, click the lock icon at the bottom of the info page, and enter your password. Then enable reads/writes to everyone.
Hi All,
please i need to know the different between samsung 830 and 840 beacuse i'll buy one for my Macbook pro 13" mid-2009
Thanks
Why would you need to enable read + write for everyone ?
my write speeds seem to be slower then the previous users.
write is around 245
read is around 500
are the results considered normal with the 840?
Yes, 840 is a bit slower than the 830.
if i have 2009 macbook pro 13", i shouldn't see the difference between 830 and 840 right?
after turning trim on
is faster
Is the Elpida RAM in the picture #2 Apples RAM? They used Elpida RAM (very reliable) in the past.
