You don't have to be first to innovate. Yes, the definition that usually comes first to mind, to introduce something new, is what Apple rarely does. But innovate also has another meaning:
- make changes in something established, especially by introducing new methods, ideas, or products.
Apple often excels at this type of innovation and the Apple Watch and AirPods are perfect examples, as is the iPhone.
