the resolution is high due to the fact it can be used for the new virtural reality headset that samsung has for it. if i was to guess i would say apple will soon follow. so on that note i will say s6>ip6

Yep, concluding one is better than other by your own assumption that Apple would soon follow yet neglecting to acknowledge the fact that the graphics performance is subpar now. I guess that's logic.

Well when it's designed with a glass back that Apple started using five years ago... :D

So basically you're saying the iPhone 6 plus is less because it has a high density the the 6? I can tell the difference between a 1080 screen a 720 or 750 screen. And there is a big difference if you are looking at the right thing.

    ----------

Apple guys crack me up. I played with the S6 at my local Best Buy the other day and the display on the S6 is nothing short of amazing. It really is spectacular, especially when watching HD content. If someone compares the s6 screen to a iPhone 6 or 6 plus and says the iPhones are better they are either lying to themselves or have vision troubles.

I'll admit the S6 is a great phone, like a really great phone, it's just not iOS.

It's a useless synthetic benchmark that doesn't carry over to real world performance and they're conveniently ignoring off-screen performance at the same resolution that puts the S6 ahead. For a demanding real world game such as Dragon Quest 8 it excels while it's laggy or crashes on iPhones plus the high resolution is for VR applications.

Well, what do you expect from a site like AppleInsider and an article written by a known propogandist? DED aka Dirk Digler has fabricated evidence, lied outright in articles and 'conveniently' left information out in his 'articles' in order to give the perception that Apple is the holy grail of all things electronic. This is why you will rarely, if ever, see Dirk Digler articles anywhere else in mainstream tech websites. Because the guy is full of sh...

If the trolls would actually READ the entire article they will see the headline was just click bait for all of the suckers! :)

    ----------

If you want to be taken seriously here........best not to quote AppleInsider. No one takes AI seriously. They are not objective in their reporting.

    ----------

This ^^^^^^ DED is not objective will go beyond slanting the truth to meet his agenda.

Smart Dock is awesome. Charges while gaming with HDMI output to my 40" monitor and Sony PS3 controller connected via wired USB or wireless bluetooth. Pretty much turns the phone into a PC/gaming console/media player/etc. Just needs a Windows x64 option.

This looks a really neat accessory - do you think it would work with the S6 Edge?

No dev would make a game in native qhd.the exynos 7 is the fastest soc out and it will play games at there native resolution the same as they would on a lower resolution screen.

I wonder about that too. From everything I have read the more stress you put on it the hotter it gets then throttling.
