I foresee a bigger problem for both Samsung and Apple in USA. Ticktok addicts will refuse to upgrade their phones because they won't be able to download Ticktok on their new phones.

I am sure this will impact some fraction of the users.

Air, slim, pro features wound makeup for the absence of Ticktok

Phone prices at this level are crazy, Apple's included. And these companies wonder why people have stopped their yearly upgrade cycle.
Yep, I refuse to pay those stupid prices and I wonder how some people can afford to, I suppose they pay stupid monthly prices and update every couple of years.

phones look awful these days, that Samsung looks like the camera lens are going to fall out of the back.

I miss phones like my Huawei p9 lite and the Nexus 4, nice and compact, can fit into a pocket so easily, not like the strange screen ratio things with a load of camera lenses that we have now, I would still be using the Huawei if it did not go pop.

AI mixed with a personal assistant doesn't really interest me. Just watched a review and while they did say the AI integration is great, it doesn't always do what you ask it to do.
Same here, I don't use the Google Assistant on my phone, I don't think even have it enabled

Apple knows very well that the majority of their user base are not upgrading their phones every year, and their pricing strategy reflects this.

So long as people remain iPhone users, Apple wins either way.

Nothing to complain about here on my 16 Pro.
Happy that's the case but you're certainly in the minority, this very forum is full of complaints and bugs reported by people
Guess you're lucky, oh to be lucky, unaffected by terrible iOS updates
