Two points:
  1. Those same Apple products are also one to three years old.
  2. Those same Apple products are only then on the same level as current Android hardware.

So then the argument falls back to the same old idea if Android does it Apple get's a pass.

Not sure which Android product competes with the four year old Mac Mini... Or which Android product competes with the MacBook Air...

I find it amusing when the Apple crowd tries to justify a competitors lack of current hardware. Seems disingenuous at best. How many Apple products are at least one to three generations behind processor wise?

So the fact this thread is about tablets doesn’t matter because the Mac mini is around?

I personally prefer my Tablet in Android than iOS. Why? Because Android is more productivity focused:
  • Better multitasking
  • Real file management/browsing system
  • Mouse compatibility
I can get FAR more work done (and more confortably) on my Huawei tablet than on my iPad.

Just my opinion, as an owner of both system...

Agree. I prefer a Samsung tablet because of the above plus Amoled and expandable storage, which are both important for me.

Not upgrading to this Tab S4 though... I can't stand the 16:10 aspect ratio.

Well using your examples, a chromebook would be the closest the google side of the fence can muster to an MacBook Air. And since this topic was regarding a tablet, a portable device with a mobile-style OS, that's what my argument centers around. Use your noodle.

Holy crap yes. Have we spoken about this before in the iPad accessories forum? I feel like every iPad case sucks. I miss the leather case so much. I'd buy the silicone case too because I have the smart keyboard but don't always use it. It's like there is so much cheap garbage on Amazon and the legit case makers don't want to compete with that so they just put out a few options. Also what sucks is it seems to be only the cheap Amazon cases that dare copy Apple's trifold design. My favorite one so far is this one and I wish it didn't have the pencil holder because 1. the Apple Pencil battery discharges when it's that close to the display all day and 2. even when the battery is discharged in the Apple Pencil it still somehow messes with the display and causes it to freeze up for touch inputs a random length of time <5 seconds at random intervals between like 15-30 seconds. It's super weird. Otherwise it's a good case, feels more quality than most (though a little rougher than the nice Apple leather) but is a little stiff when folding it back. Apple is just leaving money on the table by not offering these. I'd buy the hell out of a Cosmos Blue leather case to match my iPhone X.

This is literally the exact case I'm using on my 10.5.

I have that paired with a silicon Apple Midnight Blue Smart Cover, and a Typing Cover when needed. The color isn't a perfect match, it's rigid plastic, and the soft-touch isn't exact, but it's still pretty quality and better than what we got from Apple (which is big fat goose egg).

We may have talked about this in the iPad Accessory forum. I know I've mentioned it at least, lol.

I know I’ve complained a fair bit in that big thread. I’ve considered that one but didn’t like that it didn’t seem to have some cushion on the sides and all the cutouts didn’t appeal to me. On their other case it’s covered up more which gives it a clean aesthetic and has more grip and protected edges in case my toddler sends it flying.

So comments about Apple superiority only applies to Tablets and phones?

But comments seem to target Samsung and Android in general. I guess you can shape your response as you see fit.
