It basically comes down to Samsung’s folding phones vs Apple’s rumoured AR glasses.
LoL, so a real product vs vaporware.
Next you will do parallels between the imaginary Apple Car vs real products to prove apple is innovative and has courage.

Just preordered my Flip Z 4 with buds 2 all for $129 with the trade in of my Flip Z 3, you can't beat that for an upgrade and ear buds. If only I could install iOS on this phone since I'm so tied into Apple, but its a good secondary phone.

I just did the same thing not 5 minutes ago. Mine was a little more costly, probably a different wireless vendor. It would be great if it could run iOS, but android has gotten better over the years, so I don't really miss it much when I'm carrying the flip. I also have an iPhone that I primarily use for work, but with the flip 4, I think that's going to change and I'll carry the flip more for work too. The biggest problem is forwarding text messages between the 2, but since I have a Mac to act as the go-between, that's not really a problem either.

Ironically, they’re spending more on R&D than ever before, to the tune of $25 BILLION this year. That’s more than 10x what Steve Jobs was spending when he gave us OS X, iPhone, iPad, iMac, iPod, iTunes, Apple TV, Garageband, iCloud, A series processors, unibody aluminum MacBook, MB Air, MagSafe, Siri, Mac mini, glass trackpad, retina displays, etc., etc.
I guess the thinkers have left the building. The only thing left to guess about is did they leave because management could not tolerant free thinking or because the environment was better elsewhere.

Or C - Believing that you are more of a free thinker just because you chose a different phone OS is a more narrow way of thinking.

I’m sure Apple still has loads of talent but mgmt lacks vision and courage. Tim Cook is basically doing what all the analysts expect him to do, like buy back stock and enter the video streaming wars… albeit 5 years too late.

Steve, OTOH, did some “crazy” stuff like open retail stores when CompUSA and Gateway 2000 were shuttering theirs; introduced the bondi blue iMac when all PCs were beige; he entered the CE biz with iPod then the smartphone biz with iPhone, and many analysts roasted him saying Apple couldn’t compete with the likes of Sony and Motorola; he bought PA semi and they said he was crazy to vertically integrate silicon because Apple lacked scale…

Here’s to the crazy ones!

Yeah but can you copy a file on one device and paste it on another? Not sending it over just copy paste but on different devices?
Yes I copy and paste text and any files between my z fold 3 and all my windows 10/11 pcs. Have done for a while now. I can view my phones screen on my PC then just drag an drop any file type to my desktop. Can use both devices with the same keyboard and mouse. It's seemless.

Does it require the phone being plugged in? Because I’d want it to be wireless. And when I say copy paste I mean open an email on the phone, press a file and select copy and then CTRL+V on the computer straight away. I don’t want to have to launch some special program or have to save the file to the phones memory, I want it to work whenever.

Yes you certainly can. All wireless, seemless. It's all built into galaxy phones and windows.

I guess you could say that if we were only talking about a single innovation like a folding phone, but if you consider the wider implications of the lack of innovation at Apple it would not apply.

I checked Samsung's site and 'Galaxy Z' is a single name, just like 'Galaxy S', so "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4" has four name identifiers just like the "Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max" does.
I didn’t compare it to Apple naming convention, but was highlighting Samsung Galaxy on its own is a bit confusing. But for some who wanted to force the compare, I guess that shows the biases that their mind jumps to.

I guess I could elaborate more on the Samsung's naming peculiarity.

Samsung - Manufacturers name
Galaxy line - Phone, tablets, phablets, watches, headphones, laptops that have Android, Chrome and Windows OS
Series under Galaxy - S, A, Z, M, F, J, R, U, V, W, Note, Mini, Trend etc, and on and on, it's a long list.

There is no reasonable way of identifying what a Samsung Galaxy W is (is it a phone, tablet, watch etc.) unless it's studied. Galaxy name seems to be redundant, even if Samsung dropped it and there still is a way to name a product without it.

If I have to try to highlight the issue with a example for Apple, it would be a product with a name
Apple Platinum FK8 Grand Prime.

Chances that would at a glance describe a product, zero. SMH.

Or Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max? That only describes it a little bit better than Samsung, but really, who cares what either Apple or Samsung name their devices, I know I absolutely don't. It's their devices to name, you don't like it enough, don't buy it, choice is good.

I’m curious… How are you using the same keyboard and mouse under Windows 11 with the Fold?
In my home all my devices are either wired in to the router or use wifi 6. My main pc is a multi monitor setup. For the high end samsung phones you can use the dex for desktop software by either plugging your phone into your pc or by using wireless. So i can have my second monitor as my samsung phone in either phone screen mode or dex mode (dex mode basically outputs your phone to a desktop experience.) Its basically like any other program on your pc. Its great! You can see my set up in the attached pics. This is all done wirelessly by the way and the photos were taken whilst with the same phone whilst using Dex!

Oh, when you mention using the same keyboard and mouse… I was under the impression it’s similar to Universal Control.

I have a monitor specifically for my Mini PC and I have a portable monitor I use for DeX because I don’t prefer to use DeX on Windows… it defeats the purpose imo.

Well you could just use a keyboard and mouse with multi profiles. I use one at work. Profile one is Samsung dex and profile 2 is the pc. Job done.
