Copying text on my Macbook and pasting in my iPad. Even just going to a new location and putting in the wifi, and someone else comes along with an idevice and I can immediately share it. There are just too many benefits being all in with the Apple Ecosystem.
These little things are available on most good devices and not unique to Apple :)

You can copy text from an Android and immediately paste it on MS Word on a PC or Mac? I did not know that.
You can transfer a song from your Android and send it to a Sonos speaker just by walking toward it and tapping it? I did not know that. Paint me impressed….

You can share WiFi logon by QR code in addition to quick share or nearby share :)

That sounds way less convenient and seamless than Universal Clipboard on MacOS/iOS.

You might as well just email things to yourself.

Yeah when I’ve been using Android alongside iPads or Macs I’ve resorted to mailing a lot of things instead of just copy pasting like I do normally.

Never understood the odd naming convention of Samsung phones.

Samsung - Name identifier 1
Galaxy - Name identifier 2
Z - Name identifier 3
Flip - Name identifier 4
4 - Name identifier 5

There is definitely room for improvement.

I checked Samsung's site and 'Galaxy Z' is a single name, just like 'Galaxy S', so "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4" has four name identifiers just like the "Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max" does.

According to your logic:

Apple > Name identifier 1
MacBook > Name Identifier 2
M1 > Name Identifier 3
Pro > Name Identifier 4
14" > Name Identifier 5
2021 > Name Identifier 6

Nuff said.

Sorry I think you are misreading this, the OP was referring to sharing a WiFI login to another user and nothing to do with Universal Clipboard between your devices :)

Steve# started out by saying "Copying text on my Macbook and pasting in my iPad..." and then used login as an example of that. So he was referring to the ease of use and versatility of Universal Clipboard.

Yeah but can you copy a file on one device and paste it on another? Not sending it over just copy paste but on different devices?
Sorry to hear you are having problems but according to Apple Support

Universal Clipboard to copy entire files from one Mac to another, each Mac requires macOS High Sierra or later.

Universal Clipboard works with many recent IOS and MacOS when copying text, images, photos and video from one Apple device to another

I suggest like many use a cloud service like iCloud or OneDrive when Universal Clipboard cant copy a file type

Yes but this specific point we had shared is not about Universal Clipboard :)

RE "and someone else comes along with an idevice and I can immediately share it."

Personally I find several times a month that I would prefer if my phone could unfold into a larger view vs carrying an iPad, and I really like my iPad. I think there is some gas in the tank for this idea, but you are likely correct about it being niche. I always want more space in Maps when I'm out exploring new places, for example... but don't always want to lug the iPad.

The Z Flip is form over function though, I've seen one of them in person and they're far too tall and narrow when unfolded, and don't really make up for much by being able to become shorter and thicker in the pocket.
I own a use an ip13 pro but do own a Z flip3. The folding down literally makes it fit into any pocket and not look ridiculous.
If you’re a big guy with baggy clothes, probably not much of an issue. But if you wear fitted clothes, iPhone pro max is a bit of a beast, in pocket. Folding iPhone would be fantastic.

A 13PM starts at $1099. In case math is difficult, $1099 is less than $1799.

Add the iPad Mini 6 and they are quite close, and then the iPad Mini 6 has an awful screen and the Fold doesn’t.

If you want to have both a small tablet and a phone then the cost of the Fold isn’t bad.

And if you add six McDonalds cheeseburgers to a Chic-Fil-A order then it costs as much as a nice dinner at Outback.

Since we're doing non sequiturs and all.

Personally, the flip looks quite good, after all, you could fold between a phone and a tablet. But the flip looks more like an only flip phone, why would I want to flip my phone just to use it?
You don't have to "flip" it to use it, things like calls and notifications can be done without opening it. But to answer your specific question, it folds into a smaller package for carrying in your pocket/purse/whatever.

Why are you comparing it like that then? You are the one saying the the Fold is overpriced, so which foldable did you compare it to draw that conclusion?
