As others have said, I don't think this commercial would convince any Apple fan to "jump ship"; if anything it would solidify their like for Apple. I don't see this being a very effective advert.

It's probably gonna strengthen their faith in Apple. If you tell a muslim Allah doesn't exist and some other God is better he's not gonna ask himself questions, he's just gonna believe even more in Allah.

What they didn't show at the end of the video was the iPhone users trying to work with the Samsung phone, and then giving the phones back after just 2 minutes saying, "nice-looking phone but the OS is ****"...

LOL thats funny.

Good angle on the whole "3.5G is really 4G" marketing crap.

4G is the *only* 4G, I wish carriers and manufacturers ( i.e., Apple ) would stop marketing 3.5G as if it were 4G.

Apple has never called HSPA+ 4G. Either way, the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) recognizes HSPA+, Wimax and LTE to all be 4G.

It's harder to say "Samsung Galaxy S II" than it is to say "Apple iPhone 4S"…

Also, what is it with these names? HTC Amazing E45, Motorola SMRTPHN R31, Samsung Universe R IV, LG Awesome T345…

LOL true.. like Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch 4G LOL

Sure.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has great apps.
The iTunes integration is great.
The games on the platform are so much better.
The battery is so awesome.
Oh! the camera is so much better than the iPhone.
Samsung's customer service is so much better.
The apps are so productive and usable and absolutely don't look hideous.
Also, I can do so much on Android given I have widgets and miniUSB and whatnot.

You realize Apple specifically never called it 4G, right? They gave the speeds the phone can download at and are leaving it to the carriers to debate 4G.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

all the above, but especially "tempt through insult and degradation" I am certain to trade in my iCloud, iTunes Match, AppleTV, iPad, MacMini, iPhone ecosystem for Samsung, right...

Yeah, ridicule is a GREAT way to win converts.

The problem is that trying to get past Apple's massive positive mindshare . . . really only shows that you're trying to get past Apple's massive positive mindshare.

Samsung is being too obvious. It's difficult not to be, at this point.

Except Apple is not the one marketing 3.5G as 4G -- that would be Samsung in this commercial where they show the white T-Mobile Galaxy S2 and say "why don't you just get a 4G phone". Apple called it what it is in the iPhone 4S presentation and even said "some manufacturers are calling this 4G, but let's look at just speed comparisons".

By the way, your "4G is the *only* 4G" comment is misinformed. WiMAX is called 4G though slower than LTE and about the same as AT&T/T-Mobile's supposed 4G. LTE technically is not even 4G according to the standards body. So please define what "4G" is to you. Are you touting LTE or are you touting WiMAX which is what the EVO 4G (the best selling Android phone) runs on. Either way, LTE eats your battery life these days -- most people who owns these phones turn off 4G most of the day so they can make it through the day. I'm not saying having the option of LTE is a bad thing, but a switch on & off experience is not something Apple will do.

From a "misleading" perspective the 4G comments are the worst. However, the blonde girl in line who mimics the Samsung toting girl is so funny that I am glad its in there.

hahahaha I really just love how much they will push a product. I think we should insult the other buyers, because that will make them loyal for sure. lol

go samsung and your ****** ****** ****** android **** **** software:apple:

Good grief. Living on planet Mars?

Apple has never marketed iPhone 4S as a 4G capable device although HSPA+ has now been sectioned as a 4G standard.

May be you just hate Apple or are simply dumbfounded by not recognising the fact that most carriers and manufacturers are just using their advandantages here. Manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, Motorola are all calling 3.5-3.9G speeds as 4G speeds.

Again, real 4G = 1Gbps where LTE and similar are ~ 330Mbps. LTEAdvanced which is going to take more than 5 hours to develop and be actually usable is the actual 4G speed.

So get off the glasses, and see the real thing out there. Apple is not the one who's using these terms. On the other hand, Samsung, Motorola, HTC are the ones using these terms to fool people. Oh yes, I would love to see how you respond her.

Maybe, all your hate is towards Apple after all.

So when my Samsung phone doesn't work anymore where do I take it, the "Samsung Store"? Is that located in Korea?

From the iPhone 4S, they were comparing the speeds.. . '4G' ( not HSPA+ ) networks, when mature, will blow away HSPA+ speeds, but thats not now, but in a few years time.

Maybe, all your hate is towards Apple after all.

Why would I hate Apple when I have half a dozen Apple products, and enjoy using them?

Where you bought it? How many products do you own in your home from companies that don't have their own stores.

Hardly an "argument"

LOL and AT&T will give me a swift, "call samsung customer support" the door is that aways.

The samsung people sound like my sister who is an android fangirl who works at verizon.
"omgz the screen is so much bigger and it has 4G which is unavailable in most of the country!"

When i play with her phone, the screen feels so plasticky, my finger doesn't glide across it like it does on an iphone and it skips. The phone itself is made of plastic as well, my iphone is still more aesthetically pleasing without a case. But looks are just a small part of it, it still has android. Lately her phone has developed a nasty habit of hanging up her calls when it feels like it (not dropped calls, the phone software actually just ends them), and there is a bug in her built in alarm clock app that won't allow her to snooze anymore, even though it used to. I'll stick to my "tiny" screen and iOS 5 until next year. Thanks.

Not to mention, android can't airplay to my apple tv, which i use EVERY DAY, nor can it function as a remote control. No sale for me. It has a bigger screen, but at what cost? I'm not willing to sacrifice overall functionality for a couple of features that we'll see on the next iphone anyway.
