Worse, none of us bothered to check the source article.

Surprise. It doesn't exactly say that Samsung is going to come out with a Jet Black.

Instead, it seems to say that Samsung will put their Onyx Black and a matte version of it on the Galaxy S7, in order to compete with Apple's Jet Black and matte black.

I've got news for you - the S7 already comes in Black Onyx flavour and always has. The article would have made a good April fools joke but I suppose the joke is already on all of us who have posted in this thread.

I love stuff like this. A bunch of fanboys getting their panties in a twist based on a fake article about a color that Samsung has had on their S7 and S7E since launch early 2016 and on other models years prior to that.

Gotta give it to ya guys, you are easily led. Do any of you ever fact check anything?

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Now that is innovation.

About as well as Apple haters do.

About as well as Apple haters do.

There is only one conclusion here though:

Apple copied Samsung when it comes to colors.

Or does it only work the other way, contrary to the 10 pages in this discussion calling color copying despicable and worse?

Nah, just kidding - it is a big thing in the human psyche to have something to hate - if the hate is rational or based on truth is not a major factor really. The main thing is crowd mentality and hate as a group against something or someone - a lot of people feel good about participating in stuff like that, be it football hooligans, racists or Apple fans.

Very fascinating stuff really, you see it online all the time in all types of people, and it rarely has anything to do with education or IQ. People don't want to learn the truth because it then robs them of the great feeling of anger.

So hopefully you'll chime in on the dated iPhone 7s which will likely have the same look as the 6, 6s, and 7.
No- because they don't look like they came straight out of 2007.

Actually, my only thought on it was what I previously expressed. Personally, I have no problem with companies following styling trends. There is nothing original in the world, only modifications of what has been done before.

Are you really suggesting that the s7 edge looks like it comes from 2007 ? Wow, just wow.. you my friend can only dream of an iPhone that is as beautifully designed..

Yeah, you're right. More like 2006. I forgot the ramp-up time to design.

And where did I compare it to an iPhone, again?

I'm the same. I just can't justify paying good money to the Koreans. They lack any taste and class....

Funny, that's what people used to say about Japanese products and cars. Then the worm turned, and American companies suddenly had to catch up by copying what the Japanese were doing.

Wouldn't be surprised a bit if the same thing didn't happen with Korean designs before too long.

Heck, judging from trial evidence and a magazine with an unusually good prediction about a year and a half before the iPhone came out, it might've already happened about ten years ago, when Apple's iPhone prototypes began looking like a Korean design:

For that matter, what's YOUR ethnic background? No matter what it is, I'm quite sure that someone here can dredge up a negative design stereotype about it :p

I think you need to attend a reading comprehension class if you don't think you have compared the iPhone to the s7 in your comments. You know you have, and are just showing a classless way of trying to avoid the topic. Very juvenile.

I suppose in a way, it really doesn't matter what color Samsung's soon-to-be-released phones will be since their greatest innovation, in my opinion, is making their shiny products glow in the dark. Now if they could just figure out how to do that without all that deadly smoke and heat being simultaneously emitted, they might really be onto something there. I suppose they could always weaponize their next generation of phones if they never figure out the exact problem they need to absolutely solve. What I mean, of course, is sell it to the US military as a last resort, pitching it as the only dumb-phone in history or on the market today that doubles as a lethal flame-thrower or a live-grenade-launcher or a dazzling fireworks display depending on which way you are holding it at the time. At least their attorneys can be relieved that no one has a patent on fire. Speaking of fire, my fingers felt slightly warm when I was reading Samsung's full-page apology recently released in three daily US newspapers seventeen days ago. Suddenly, there was a bright burst of flames as the newspaper self-combusted into a thick fog of smoke out of which appeared a tiny buzzing toy airplane with a small flashing neon banner tied to the back of it upon which was written: "SORRY ABOUT THAT…SH*T HAPPENS...REALLY SORRY...NEXT ONE BETTER…SHINY BLACK LIKE JET OTHER GUY BRAND TOO…YOU SEE!". But then I woke up and realized I was only dreaming.

Actually the middle design looks like the left design with rounded corners.

My wife just sent back her 2nd note 7. Devastated. They offered her any other phone but, there is really nothing close at this point. She just hopes they figure this out soon and she can re-purchase. Hard to go back from wireless charging, water resistant, such a nice screen, and note pencil capabilities. Maybe they will combine the 8, edge and note, in March?

Nope, threatened ... particularly by those STILL waiting for Ive and Apple to figure out the Jet Black process so they can take delivery of the September pre-orders. Imagine walking into your local Telco and picking up a tasty Jet Black S7 just in time for the holidays and the Apple pre-order nation STILL waiting, and waiting.

"A tasty Jet Black S7." Sounds like a poor rebuttal to disparage against the iPhone 7 Jet Black color. It's an additional color Option for a the S7 that has been on the market for over eight months. And it's Samsung's only real secondary phone with the Note restricted.

So, you think Ive is sitting on his lab working on the Jet Black color, because it's a popular Color and backordered? Think again. What were you expecting? It's a new fad color released That everyone pounced on. It's not difficult to fathom why the delay, and according to istocknow, most carriers are reporting in stock.

Quit using Samsung as leverage, so you can find reasons to mock Apple. It's not working for you and not proving anything.

Nope. Said nothing about the iPhone. Nice effort at putting word and intentions there that were not present, but sadly, despite your insults, you are incorrect. Please- stop the insults, by the way.
