iPhone 6 and 6 plus are exploding (2014-2016), Check out google "iPhone fire" (100 news..). Did they fix that?

Oh sweet, that 2014 tech that has double the CPU performance as '2016 tech'? And costs just as much? Yum, I'll keep overpaying then. You keep living in that bubble too.

Incidentally, if you ever search tips for 'speed up Android phone', you won't ever find anything. Nope, not a thing.

Finally, the article you quoted was for the iPhone 4 and 4S. Poor show.

I used to subscribe to few channels on youtube that i liked, but now after all this recycling that is going on i just stop watching. If i hear someone say samsung has better design, is more slick and oled colours just pop i can't handle this kind of stupidity and ignorance any longer.

Well it's relevant to the current discussion. You said androids slow down after a couple of years, well iPhones do too.

Oh and this just came out from consumer reports:

Water resistance the only feature on iPhone 7 worth upgrading for, says Consumer Reports

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/wa...pgrading-for-says-consumer-reports-2016-10-05

"The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus “slightly outperform” the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, the consumer product reviewer said Wednesday. The 12.2-megapixel main cameras, for example, were “not significantly better” than those produced by last year’s phones..."

There have been reports of Galaxy Note 7 replacement devices also catching on fire.

It's clear 2016 ain't Samsung's year and Apple is riding the wave with doing little to nothing.

Bring on 2017. There's been little inspiring or jaw dropping in tech during this year apart from the a Tesla Model 3.

Don't Tesla cars catch fire too? Or do they just inexplicably crash?

Why not link the actual review from consumer reports?

From consumer reports:

"Overall, we recommend the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which join the top ranks of smartphones on the market."

I actually disagree that Apple makes polished products. It makes mostly good looking products with thoughtful features, but they can be somewhat defective. A group of us got together this past week and were discussing macbook upgrades and problems we've had with our own MacBooks and other products. Screen issues, buzzing, discoloration, problem pixels. Keyboard keys that don't work sometimes (because we are hitting the key wrong). Power charging issues. Over priced replacement for defective chargers. Apple makes good looking devices, but the quality is not there, nor are the devices durable. The Apple promise is large and Apple completely does not deliver.

Correction. Tesla Model 3 starts production and shipping late 2017 by the way.

I agree with your statement about Apple making polished products.
I would also add that not too long ago I think Apple made a more polished product, at least hardware and software wise, but in the past few years, their quality control has dropped.

Also, Apple's iPhone once had a unique design that others tried to emulate, but in the past few years Apple releases products (7), with new names with their old design (6) that looks like it was copied from the competition.

Lately, there is not too much that makes them stand out from their competition. Well, other than their phone doesn't explode nearly as much.

Assuming you never, ever take pictures or video, then there could be some universe in which what Consumer Reports says is true. They lost all credibility when they told people not to buy an iPhone 4 back in 2010.

If iPhones were exploding at the rate Note 7's are, including replacement models—on airplanes!—the media and everyone in between would be calling for Tim's assassination. Public hanging locations would be discussed. Time Square and a giant cross the centre of Apple Campus 2 would rank among suggestions. The Verge article would be twice as long with innuendo and video after video and would subsequently stretch to 16 articles. The author would suggest Steve Jobs coffin be exhumed to check for burn marks. And online, in general, beyond English a new language would be developed specifically to make fun of iPhone with sentences never before thought possible. Beats would be mentioned.
Not really. iPhone 7 recently exploded! and Apple confirmed it by giving a response the victim

"Despite explosions".

Let's see how LagDroid fairs in a few years' time, stuttering as you swipe between apps. While somebody still using their iPhone 7 still has a buttery smooth experience.

"But... but... it was phone of the year!"
Nonsense! iPhones crashes all the times! I think lag it's better than crash, imagine playing a video game

My 6S has crashed maybe 5 times in the last year, and I use it a lot. I've also been enrolled on the beta program for over six months too. I've never considered crashing a problem at all.

I'll just leave these here and let you continue this weird obsession with Apple; like you made the product. I don't doubt Apple makes great phones; I have a 6s and a retina MacBook pro, but I'm open to other manufacturers and don't like complacency.

Not related to Samsung at all, but you know that "item of the year" means nothing right??

I am sure you can find lots of "item of the year" who were not really that good :p

I never heard complaints about iPhone 6s, so I'm glad they fixed it

... Shares dipped 13 percent following initial reports of the widespread problem, which analysts estimate cost the company between $1 and $5 billion, not discounting significant damage to its smartphone brand.

And yet shareholders' confidence in Samsung's semiconductor and display manufacturing have seen shares rebound into record territory.

Heck, as the WSJ noted, Apple's market value dropped $15 billion right after Cook announced that they would no longer give out iPhone sales numbers.

And even though that news obviously worried a lot of investors, shares later recovered.

So it goes.

I had a Windows machine I never had a problem with. So based on that, the quality was better than my Apple experiences to date.
And then windows 95 came out

Why is it always android fanboys who get passionately angry about another persons phone choice?
Because they know most people prefer Apple because they are better.
