The "phone of the year" doesn't seem perfect itself-

Every device that uses a lithium ion battery has a chance of exploding, iPhones, Galaxys, Nexus' - all of them. All manner of devices explode all the time for a multitude of reasons.

What sets the Note 7 apart is the frequency it's happening per unit sold, it's thousands of times more frequent than any other device, hence the recall. It's just basic statistics.

If MR decided to report on every time a phone exploded there'd be an article a day, that's why they don't do it. Nothing to do with "masking Apple problems".

Thank you

Not only that but there have been 11 cases of Samsung washer machines exploding this year alone. Mine almost tore apart until I stopped the unit. I have a slight bulge on the unit and now I'm having an LG delivered.

Samsung rode high too long and put money in legal battles instead of QC.

Make a great product and you will prosper. Instead they chose to make ****, copy from others, and fight legal battles they barely won.

I loved Samsung products. Now I'm scared about owning my TV. It's getting hotter than normal and I question the day it catches fire.

I wouldn't worry about your TV, it's just this specific line of phones that are affected. I've literally just bought a 4K Sammy TV ready for PS4 Pro AND I also have a Sammy washing machine so we're both in the same boat here ha :)

What we do have to remember is there is a defect rate for all products, and there's a chance of any product made my anyone being faulty for whatever reason.

The Note 7 was rushed to market to beat the release date of iPhone 7. It was so rushed they skipped over the Note 6 all together lol. That's why this is happening, and it's not the case with the rest of their products.

Anyway, now I've been fair to Samsung and given them the benefit of the doubt, I'm still disgusted that this whole debacle has even happened in the first place. It should never have been allowed to happen. Putting profits before people's lives is not acceptable.
