Samsung S26 Ultra/S26 (Pro)/S26 Edge or Plus?

Seen a clip from the WaveForm podcast with MKBHD... they was comparing pictures from the iPhone camera to a Leica camera and they had a tough time choosing between the two. Ever since we moved past the 12MP mark for smartphone cameras (about 3 years ago)... nowadays they are all good enough from Samsung A series to the Pixel 9a.

Also very true. I saw someone posted a picture on Twitter of photos they took with their iPhone 5s and it looks just fine. I had a very similar revelation with my Z Fold 7. I was so bought into having the very best camera features, but I can only think of maybe a couple times where I wish I had a better zoom camera. This thing takes amazing pictures like pretty much every phone does now.

I was thinking more toward Samsung directly (website)... not any 3rd party stores.

Yeah, I'm excited for next year... that's when I'd upgrade to the Fold 8. Hopefully, Samsung has came up with something for S-Pen users.

Not only have they axed the S26 Edge they’ve also apparently ended S25 Edge production. Bit of a shame as I hate this trend to make phones into bricks. Though there’s still the rumour that the Ultra has the raised camera section, which seems more or less certain now, because they’ve thinned the phone itself down again.

Well that will give me more time to use and enjoy the multiple cases (some expensive, some not) cases for the two S25 Ultras that I bought approximately 2 months ago. I switched midway from the iphone. Since there isn't going to be a huge improvement in the Samsung S26 Ultra over the S25, I may hold off from upgrading anyway. Only those who have the S23 and older will benefit. But....if the cameras and optics (especially the f/ratio) changes dramatically, then I'll update. I upgrade for the cameras on phones because I'm a professional photographer & I want the best possible camera available. Yeah I have a "real camera" at home, but who wants to carry a camera and multiple lenses around?

No sales. No support. You can import them from some third parties though. Don't know what that would run with the current tariff situation. Also not sure if all bands are supported.

I’m still shocked Samsung has seemingly killed the Edge after one generation. I’m amazed they didn’t even try another version. I wonder how much they lost on it monetarily.
 
The Edge was probably my favorite one out of their slab lineup. If the S27 line up were to have something along the line of:

- thin but it doesn't have to be Air/Edge thin but thinner than the Ultra
- 4500-5000 mah solid state
- at least two cameras 200mp(main/telephoto combo)/50mp(ultrawide/macro combo)
- titanium or even stainless steel

I'd trade in my ZF7.
