The iterative updates are better for consumers I think. It means when a new iPhone comes out, your 7 month old phone isn't that different.
Apart from when they change the design like they did with the iPhone 12.

Wow big news. I’m not a note fan but the hardware is good.
And when I suggest Tim the supply chain guru is keeping Apple products moving to the best that can be done, I get some haha's and downvotes. To miss out on a revenue stream, must mean this is worse than they are admitting publicly.Well Samsung can always use their own Exynos chips ... oh wait ... those are fabbed by TSMC ... so I guess they did NOT lock in a deal for the right supply amount in advance then? Next year I guess Samsung will spend less money on poking fun at Apple and more on sourcing chips in advance for demand.
hardware is good ... just the synergy is still off. That said I'll bet this has less to do with chip supply and more to do with an obvious overlap of the S21 5G Plus and the Note.
Riight? I see those downvotes and all the teasing hooplahs ... but we don't see iPhones cancelled. The delay was production volume meeting expectations and 2 completely new designs for the 8/8+ and the X release timeframe. Last year it was the 12/12 Pro/12 Pro Max and the 12 Mini ... same design but 4 distinctly different models in 3 different shells. These were the only times of launch delays that I recall. And when I suggest Tim the supply chain guru is keeping Apple products moving to the best that can be done, I get some haha's and downvotes. False. Both latest Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 are fabbed on Samsung 5nm.
Can’t Samsung make its own chips?
