.. BASIC?

no way! it takes a lot to "innovate" round edged rectangles you know.

It does not take a lot to innovate a round edged ractangle..

But it takes a lot to innovate a round edged rectangle that does everything the iPad / iPhone does.

And yet, if Apple is so innocent, and Samsung is the bad boy, why did Apple, the supposed knight in shining armour feel the need to manipulate the evidence they presented in their case? Apple can play dirty too.

Evidently, from the actual reactions of the court, this "manipulation" wasn't quite as nefarious as the forum lawyers made it out to be.

I've looked at a lot of the Pre-iPad Tablets, and have concluded it isnt as hard as you think.

:D Your "reality" picture supports Apple's case much more than Samsung's!

I hate Apple so much that the last two electornic equipments I have bought are a Macbook Air and an iPod Classic.

And, as you like to accuse people, can you prove that I hate Apple and tell it everyone?

Can you show me where I have said something like that?

Can you tell me why sayong that a suit is patent related can be understood as that Samsung will beat Apple?

All the media? Really? Media like Macrumors.

Can you show me what The Hague court have said?

oh common anyone with a brain stem can say you love to watch Apple fall just by reading all of your posts on the matter in this thread and others. I am in no mood to sift through your posts to prove it. Besides it would take a whole night going through the list to choose the best one.

While I agree with you about changing the design in court. It is still a obvious knock off in design terms overall. Even in your image the tablet history goes from crap to crap to crap to iPad(good) to samsung(good copy). If it wasn't for Apple it would probably end up still crap today or not even any new tablet. After all everyone bagged Apple for releasing a tablet saying that it would never be used and now it is mainstream market.

Im not denying it, my misgivings about that case were some of the things that Apple was trying to claim they had copied, such as a rectangle tablet with curved corners. They blatantly were not the first to market with that, and yet they have the nerve to claim Sumsung copied the iPads physical design.

They obviously didn't, since the German injunction was enforced.

Still doesn't change the fact the evidence presented by Apple had clearly been altered to better fit their case.

It's about neither. This is about Samsung suing Apple over wireless communications patents. Apple wouldn't even need to make a smartphone to infringe, just any phone that uses Samsung's technology. I wasn't sure if they were infringing, but it appears Apple is admitting it is, it just doesn't believe they were offered reasonable license terms.

I wasn't referring to this article but to the implications about hardware design and the cases all over the world.

You guys really need to read the details of Samsung's complaint before you comment. Most of you just sound like idiots...

Here is fact you may not know.

Apple lawyers bring Apple down path to sue many so they have business and can charge premium because shortage of such lawyers. Jobs asleep at wheel, also lawyers used Jobs personality against him.

Sad thing, Apple may now waste many resource fighting pointless battle. Is distraction and bad for consumer.

I guess Samsung was hoping Apple would remain passive when its iPhone was copied.

EVERYONE was warned. Apple warned everyone, no question. First by Jobs - loud and clear:

And then later, numerous times, it was also made clear by Tim Cook, well before any tablet competitors arrived on the scene, and before the bulk of the iPhone competitors arrived on the scene.

. . . we will not stand for companies infringing on our IP.

Mr. Cook also said that Apple would continue to defend its IP.

re: LTD's cutting and pasting of articles about bribery

Call me a cynic - but what some lobbyists do on behalf of corporations isn't any more noble.

And if LTD wants to start playing the legal card - then perhaps he should be reminded that it goes both ways.

And that just because Samsung (or any company) allegedly violates "x" law doesn't mean they aren't entitled to be protected under "y." Two wrongs don't make a right.

And finally (for now) - I love how LTD is fast to condemn any non-Apple company and immediately assume guilt but when Apple is targeted - it's always "allegedly"

But we all know LTD is just a weeeeeeeee bit biased, don't we?

Can we start getting these emoticons for patent disputes?

As I tought, you don't have any proof, you only think that any one that doesn't praise ALL that Apple does is because he hates Apple.

Ps, a little secret, you can love a company and their products and not necessary agree with all they do and not hate any competitor.

I know you're focusing on the hardware design, but you've gotta admit that the UIs changed. A lot.

I'm only focusing on the hardware, because thats the part of the Apple-Samsung case that I don't agree with.

The UI argument I side with Apple on.

no way. Apple has so much money (resources) and a whole legal team dedicated to dealing with this stuff. This won't have an effect on their design team at all

Yes, because this is all about the shape of their hardware - not the blatant knockoff in the software.

are you referring to the use of square shaped icons on a touch screen that, when activated, opens the associated program/application? becuase if you are :apple: was not the first to do that either.
