if you read what i was responding to, you would know why i had to put that post. samsung at the moment is making the best phone on the market, so clearly they are not failing in the mobile industry like that person said.

Definitely not the best consumer smartphone though. But it sure is the best Android phone!

But i agree, just because of this issue we can't say "Samsung is a bad company, and it should just go bankrupt", that's not right.

your right, in terms of features, hardware (ie screen, camera, ram etc) as well as the features and speed of the phone, i would say it is the best, however in terms of consumption , and by consumption i mean apps and media, the iphone reins supreme.

however to say samsung fail in the mobile industry and should go bankrupt , just screams of fanboysm.

I would be willing to bet that even if a Judge allowed such a ban (which would not occur, period), Samsung would cave in a minute to the immense and rather insane backlash and find another way to solve the issue.

Just thinking of Samsung trying to tell the public why they are stopping all i-products (well, not all but several)....I mean, come on....lots of humor would be involved. And yes, I understand they would give all the patent issues but frankly, the general public would not care one bit.

I agree that it would be a hoot to see what would happen if Samsung succeeded.

If Apple would then not buckle and pay out Samsung, but release a public statement that Samsung a Korean multination had managed to stop Apple a US company from importing products to the US that they developed in the US.

“Sorry: No more iPads! No more iPhones” Apple would shout.

There would be quite an outcry and a consumer backlash against Samsung. I'm sure they would end up with their tail between their legs.

That should be Apple's response to Samsung....

You have a poor understanding of how these things work. Apple couldn't do that because their shareholders would revolt. The one thing you do NOT mess with is the revenue stream (especially when you're turning a good profit).

If such an injunction were to be handed down then Apple would scramble to make a deal with Samsung that would allow their devices to still be sold.
