Read "iLike".
The one on the left is naturally a genuine and original Samsung design and does not look in any way like a cheap iPhone 4(S), and so is the one on the right, which does not look like a cheap iPhone 3G(S) either.

Now, I have to go back to work on my next iPad 3 ri.., I mean Galaxy Tablet. And I worked on it until pretty late last night. But I want to say one thing to the Apple people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have inspirational relations with that device, the iPhone. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the Samsung people.
Thank you.

it's all me me me with this guy :D - the way it comes across is that the design department at Samsung only has 1 person!

you mean it took MORE than 1 person to come up with the design that looks like the iPhone? nOoooooOOoOOOOooo..

dito

no doubt about it- iphone has been a substantial success; Even Hyundai Motors has probably contemplated the idea of developing a car to look like an iphone:D

This Lee Minhyouk guy. I dont think he does any designing himself. He just gives his nay or yea to the design. His ego is talking again.

What isn't odd is that the Samsung phones are, in fact, crushing all other Android handset makers. Could it be, I dunno, because Samsung's phones look the most like iPhones?

LOL Thanks for the good laugh, that's the funniest thing I've heard all week.

Which part? The crushing part or the Samsung copycat implication?

Oh, and by the way, welcome to MacRumors. You may have noticed that this is a pro-Apple site.
That makes you a troll, but whatever. Web traffic is web traffic. Thank you for helping MacRumors even more successful!

If you take the front of this:
nokia-500-default-1317817175562.jpg

plus the back of this:
Nokia-700-01.jpg

and add just a little bit of this:
nokia-n95-1B.jpg

You get this:

It's not the same at all. Look, the brush marks on the battery cover are horizontal rather than vertical.

I wonder whether they have a slotmachine with wheels depicting front sides, back sides and shapes of popular mobile phones to determine their designs. You know, after they they completed their iPhone ripoff and run out of ideas. Let's hope for them that they don't hit the Nokia 3310 jackpot.

Oh please. At this point accusing Samsung (and Google) of ripping off Apple is such an obvious charge that it can't even be considered fanboyism. It's just an obvious fact.

Not, its fanboy fantasies. Just because something looks vaguely the same doesn't mean the greedy company has a right to stop progress forever. Especially since they are stealing from other companies any chance they get. a few examples

Oh I won't say Apple never steals. And I also don't think anyone has a right to stop progress forever. I also don't feel that the majority of Android handset manufacturers just steal from Apple and never innovate. In fact, most of them are trying to change the market in some way. But Samsung? When it comes to ripping off the iPhone, they have long been the worst offender. I see Motorola, Sony, Blackberry, trying different things, trying to come up with some sort of unique device. Sometimes they do well, sometimes they don't, and I admit it's not an easy task. What more can you do to improve an already near perfect design? But Samsung, more than their competitors, seems content to just make an Android version of the iPhone and call it a day.

And in their defense, it's made them one of the best Android manufacturers. Samsung makes some solid phones, even if they're not original. The Nexus is possibly the best Android out there. And I will admit that they tried one thing, the Note. They just made a friggin huge iPhone really. That was the one risk I've really seen them take.

I don't hate Samsung and I don't hate Androids. But I am pointing out the obvious, that Samsung has been quietly copying Apple's designs for years. Love it, hate it, I don't care, but that's what it is.

lol nope.

So koreans of Samsung are retarded because they copy everything, on the contrary of Google, that supposedly copied iOS; Microsoft, that supposedly copied Macintosh OS; and Apple, that supposedly copied Xerox GUI design. Ooops... except Samsung, the others are american companies.

It's worth noting Apple paid Xerox for that right. So it'd be best to jettison that argument talking point.

EDIT: Dang it, I replied to an old thread. (Holds head in shame.)
